  • Kyriakos Mitsotakis is the man many have credited for the transformation of the Greek economy, from the basket case of Europe to one of the continent’s top performers. In his first interview since being re-elected, Mitsotakis sets out his goals for the next four years - including restoring Greece’s investment grade status, legalizing same-sex marriage and continuing the fight against populism.

I'm coming from a neutral point of view because I don't live in Greece, i am greek though born and live in canada, But for everyone who dislikes Mitsotakis, what is the reason? So far i've only seen the economy Growth increase, debt payment paid before due date, Unemployment rate drop, Minimum wage pay increase, Military strength increase etc.. Those are the pros of Mitsotakis But what are the cons?

I always vote left but this time I voted for this guy. I feel like he actually does the progressive things the left promise but never actually do. He seems to be a true liberal and has modernised so much of the Greek state, allowing people to go about their business without the dread of dealing with bureaucrats who get a thrill out of making your life miserable. There is still a lot of work to do, but compared with what he inherited, 5 stars!

Other countries have not even realize the extent of catastrophe in Greece. They have heard economic crisis but they do not undestand what does it mean. In this country you can't study , university entrance depends on a single exam which some years is random and lot of children have to move abroad to study what they want . There are no jobs . People with degrees work in random jobs like coffe shops for the rest of their lives. There are no opportunities . You can not have a career there. Others have not money even to survive , extreme poverty . Whoever stays there has no future so we are basically forced to move abroad - that is what they call brain drain. But even this is not exact. A lot of people go abroad to study , most common scenario is that young people go abroad to do a master's degree .So it is not exactly that scientists leave the country , more like people with a university degree go abroad to continue their studies and they discover more opportunities so they never turn back

Studying abroad is better because we can be our own ambassadors overseas and we have some of the most talented people in the world and we unlock our talents through the superior education we receive in American and European institutions. We who study abroad are Greece's future, because we come back and help advance the nation. Our Prime Minister Mitsotakis is American educated, unlike Tsipras, and the differences are uncanny. We should be open to the west and we should deepen our relations with them and send our youths to their institutions. We are becoming a more modern country by the day. WE have not had the luxury other countries have to develop naturally, because we are old nation, but a young country, we have had to fight for our existence for every decade only until recently, when our last conflict was in Cyprus 50 years ago, before that, we were practically in conflict as soon as we recovered from the last one, i.e, after the Asia Minor catastrophe and the decade of political fallout, as soon as we had some stability, we are dragged into ww2. WE survive the triple occupation and immediately fighting in a civil war. Months after the civil war we sent troops to Korea, a good thing I might add, but then we were locked into a cold war with Turkey over Cyprus that has remained since.

In Northern Greece we had entire CONVOYS of cars belonging to smugglers, filled with migrants, people took videos, called the police, the police not only did not interfere but WARNED the ones calling, not dare to do anything! ....what transformation? I don't understand what you're talking about!? The average wage in Greece (entering the public sector) yes that's what our state gives as a wage is 650€ per month. Where's the reform when there are three neonatzi parties in our parliament? If Mr Mitsotakis was not re elected he'd have to flee the country from the severity of the volume of scandals he's involved..... But yeah that's Europe a dying conservative continent
