The ex-Hibernian, Dundee United, West Bromwich Albion and Hoops players sits down to go through his football career and his time in the green and white in Glasgow.
Allan goes into detail about his much talked about move in the summer of 2015 from Hibs to Paradise before going through the highs and lows of his time under Ronny Deila and Brendan Rodgers.
He shares some amazing insight into how the Invincible Treble was won in the 2016/17 season and tells some superb teammate stories.
Allan also looks back on the rest of his footballing career and playing for the likes of Neil Lennon in Edinburgh, and what it was like to share a changing room with Nicolas Anelka at West Brom.

Scott definitely didn’t get enough games in his time at Celtic. I felt sorry for him in a sense as it was such a big move for him and it just didn’t work out for whatever reason. I think I also wanted him to do well because he was getting so much flak from the other side of the city.
It’s nice to see he’s not bitter about it though. He’s always come across as being a lovely lad.
Watched him a lot after his time at Celtic, mostly when he was with Dundee and he offered a lot on the ball. Could spot a pass and open up a defence. So there was a really good player there.
Either way, he’s gone through a few hard times with his career and particularly with his health etc. he should still be so proud of himself that he was able to continue as well as he did, despite the health issues.
Really enjoyed this, well done 👏

It surprised me Scotty never made it at Celtic he had the ability but some moves just don't work out. He's a good guy though and hopefully his bhoy will grace the park at Paradise in the future and I hope he remains healthy as that's more important than football, God bless him HH

A real shame it didn't work out for him or us at Celtic, but there's no doubt he was a really talented player.
That ridiculous snooker shot of a pass through the heart of the Sevco defence from midfield when Hibs beat them at Ibroaks was a thing of beauty 👌

when scott was at his best at easter road hes defo in my top 5 of exciting players to watch he cud spot and play passes nobody else could, and when fully fit b4 he lost a yard of pace the way he dropped a soldier and breezed past players with a change of pace was a delight to watch, him along side mcginn and mcgeogh under lennon was a great time to be a hibby,i cant help but regret the fact he missed our scottish cup win as it was between his spells with us

It would be interesting to hear erstwhile manager Peter Houston's version of events with regards Scott's departure from Dundee Utd to West Brom. The papers in Scotland quoted Allan as having rejected a new contract offer from United and Houston as having tried to persuade Allan to stay but the youngster wanted 'the big move down south' too early in his career.

  • @brianbru

It was actually criminal how little we used Allan. His through balls were devastating. A hard midfield to break into I suppose but still.

Good interview. I remember Scott breaking into the Dundee Utd team and right away you could see he was a talent. Was disappointing the way things turned out for him at Celtic, but to his credit he's pragmatic about it and comes across as a top lad.

people dont realise how bad it got for hibs around then before stubbsy came in,we were hanging around lower mid table the fans were unhappy with the product but we were gloating non stop because hearts troubles were coming home to roost and they were in admin and bottom of league defo going down,we were safe but changed manager and brought terry butcher in,he immediately lost the dressing room by telling everyone theyd be sold by the start of next season,we didnt win another game and ended up going down thru the playoff to hamilton,so after all the gloating about hearts we went down with them, stubbsy re built the squad and won us the cup with the help of a few celts on loan in dylan liam and stokesy

The balls up Rangers where in would be too much for a young player .Especially for a hugely talented young player we aren't the most patient fans if things don't go as planned sadly.

@@user-ce5xw3gi4r Tbf right before that happened, Allan played a defence splitting pass to put Griffiths through one on one with the keeper, which he then blew. That would've won us the game. Deila pushed the whole team up for a winner.

Destroyed that lads career going to celtic he could've been a star at the club he supported as a youth in the bygone days of yore.Sadly it was a case of if Rangers want him celtic will take him as they've never got over Mo Johnston going to Rangers.😂
