    Completely agree but I would add one more thing: respect (for others and YOURSELF). You will learn to look out for each other even more and be more empathic. For someone like me with anxiety and low selfesteen this helped me a lot :)

      Definitely! Respect - that's a great benefit. Maybe I should've made it Top Eleven Benefits and included that one 😁
      Fantastic to hear that kickboxing also helped you with your anxiety and low self esteem too 🙂

    Hey, I finally took my first Muay Thai class, at a Muay Thai and Kickboxing gym near me. It was very fun and challenging. Can’t wait to go again. Your videos help a lot. I also have social anxiety at times, but felt pretty good while enjoying the class.

    Hey man, that was a great video thanks. I have some queries though. Do we need to lift weights or so like we do it in a gym as to build body and add muscles or just punches and kicks on the sandbag is all that we need?

    • @johnnyboykickboxer8302
      @johnnyboykickboxer8302  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey mate, glad you liked the video 🙂
      I think it's definitely beneficial to lift weights, and maybe kettle bells as it will improve you're upper body strength. But to be honest I don't really bother as I focus more on training and learning technique rather than power. For me it's more about keeping fit enough to have the stamina to keep going during sparring, and having the speed smd ability to get out of the way and counter attack 😄🥊👊🏻 💥

    Another great video :) I went last night but was so tired beforehand I wasn’t really feeling it, but ended up doing a double session and was absolutely buzzing afterwards :) so true about it being more fun than a gym, I used to find that so boring. Also last night someone bought homemade flapjacks so that was a bonus haha.

      Fantastic! Yeah it's amazing how sometimes you're not in the mood for it but you'll go anyway and have a great time 😃🥊👊🏻💥. And homemade flapjacks - definitely a bonus! 😁👍🏻

    Great video, I'm gonna take kickboxing class soon! How many days per week do you kickbox?

    • @johnnyboykickboxer8302
      @johnnyboykickboxer8302  Před 2 lety

      Thanks mate, glad you liked the video and food for hear that you're taking classes soon 🙂👍🏻. When I first started I would usually just do twice a week and then gradually buile it up to 3-4 times a week (even if its just a workout) but on occasions have done 5-6 times a week. It really depends on how busy I am with other stuff. The last few months I've only managed a couple of times a week due to other commitments, but hopefully I'll be able to build it back up to 3-4 times again soon. Good luck and let me know how it goes 🙂👍🏻🥊👊🏻💥

    What age is best for starting if you want to be professional?

    • @johnnyboykickboxer8302
      @johnnyboykickboxer8302  Před 3 lety +1

      I would say the best age would be teenager to early 20s to become a pro and compete. There's nothing to say that somebody older can't make it as a pro, it'd just be a lot more difficult. But anybody at any age can certainly train kickboxing

      @@johnnyboykickboxer8302 Im starting next week and your videos have made me really excited. Im 16 so i just wondered if my age was an advantage if i wanted to go pro some day

    • @johnnyboykickboxer8302
      @johnnyboykickboxer8302  Před 3 lety +1

      @@madsjacobsen3307 that's fantastic that you're starting kickboxing. I think you'll really enjoy it 🙂👍🏻. You definitely have an advantage with your age as you'll likely remember all of the different techniques easier and be able to move quicker. Just remember that training is a long process but it's totally worth it. Good luck and let me know how it goes
