Tiger helped revive that sport. In the 90s he was like a human highlight reel. Glad he's well and would like to seem him get back to greatness.

We all do. MSNBC has been having nonstop coverage of his accident since earlier this afternoon.
After Arnie faded from contention I didn't watch golf with any regularity until Tiger. He was so good in his prime that he was always fascinating. And one Nicklaus era pro said that Jack was the best, but only by a little bit. Tiger was the best by a lot!

My grandpa was a golf fanatic. I remember playing with him as a child he would take me on the weekends. He took me to see Tiger play in the Amateurs and he said "watch this young man, he will be one of the all-time greats!" My grandpa was right. He passed away in 2008 but he got to watch Tiger win a lot of tournaments. I'm just now getting back into golf, haven't played much since my grandpa passed away but now at 39 I'm starting to get a passion for the game.

Nice to see your grandfather see Tiger win the '97 Masters. THAT was his coming -out party and the real beginning of the greatest run in golf history. No question Tiger was the best ever. The competition of today was 1000000% greater than in Jack's day.
Man I was so young while tiger was in his prime. If only I could go back in time and truly appreciate his greatness.

I used to love watching in prime Tiger In WGC events.. I don’t think his record in those is admired enough.. Everyone talks about the players championship and it’s a superb tournament.. But he dominated these events and the memorial.. the toughest fields in golf and he was always up for them like they were majors. Think about the record... 18 wgc wins. 5 memorials. 2 players championships.. most players never win 26 times.. 26 of his were the most challenging available

Man I'm not a fan of any specific sport but a fan of people who do great things in their field. I don't understand much of golf but to a "foreigner" it is easy to understand how good you have to be to actually be to match this guy's skills. Had fun all the way. Unbelievable.

@@sswank1995 Jack knows his courses, like when Johnny Miller Said he couldn't make the putt at Harbor shores and wanted to chip it, Jack goes up and drains it. I know that was luck but he knew that it was possible to get close

Tiger was the greatest ever. Period. And don't count him out just yet. He can still find what it takes to be great again. His reign is not yet over.
He will probably never recover from his car crash injuries....
Didn't know about the severity of the accident when I posted the comment above. It certainly looks bad for. his career at this point. But he was written off after his back surgeries and he's gotten one more green coat since. Maybe he won't win another major. Anybody else probably wouldn't. But remember: This is Tiger. Never say never to Tiger. He can come back when no one else can. So I won't write him off until he says he's through no matter how unlikely a complete recovery looks. His drive, his will may turn out to be unbeatable. I'll say this -- if he wants to play again, he will. How well he would play if he should try a comeback surely is open to question.
Tiger changed golf even more than Jordan changed basketball. There were still players to watch even when Jordan was playing. Nobody really watched golf until Tiger entered the field
How would you know that people hardly watched golf B4 Tiger came along? People have been watching Golf for decades. Look back on tournaments even 50 years ago and you will see a lot of people in the galleries.

GOAT. Everyone always talks about Tiger's driving distance, but honestly his short game was the best I have ever seen. Never seem to miss a big putt

I wouldn't call him that. If he was the BOAT, then he would surpassed Sam Snead for most tour wins and surpassed Jack Nicklaus for most majors won. If you want to think about of today's generation, he is the BOAT, but in terms of the PGA all time, I would call him the GOAT.

I can't believe how good this guy was in his prime. At first I thought those shots were just luck, they weren't.
I also liked how he raised the bar and made other competitors really up their game. Some of those tours should have been him in a run away, but other golfers would play their heart out and still trail him pretty closely.
That swing was so flawless and so powerful at the same time.

It’s weird to imagine a golfer being able to dominate a sport like the traditional sports. Lots of people can play golf really well but none of the guys out there today peak people’s interest like tiger did. It’s one thing to hit the ball like tiger did, but the way he was able to do it was just mesmerizing. Nobody could draw a crowd like tiger. I’m excited to see if his boy charlie pursues golf. Watching him play now it’s like a spitting image of tiger. It would be awesome to see him dominate and draw crowds like his dad did

It's so excisting watching Tiger play golf, he brings life into the game through his remarkable course management and fantastic shots.
I can still remember the first time I saw Tiger. His dad brought him on the Carson show when he was a little boy. He got in a putting contest with Carson and was amazing.

Former pro John Maginnes said that when he finally saw Tiger play, he realized that all the work he had put into his own game was in vain.
All I can say is that I am glad I am alive to watch Tiger Woods play. Good or fair he is a teacher to all golf players. The way he is able to read the greens. I just wish his dad was here on earth to guide him.

First, this a great Vid. Thanks for it. What is funny is that I (and probably most of you) remember seeing these shots. When Tigre is out there there are millions more watching. Keep in Mind I grew up watching Jack, Arnold, Player, Zeoller, Irwin, Seve' I mean the list can go on and these were/are the greats of Golf. But, there is something about it when Tigre is on.
