This was a great reaction and an excellent analysis. Dimash performs here at the 2018 International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk”, generally known simply as “Slavic Bazaar.” It is an annual festival held in Vitebsk, Belarus, sponsored by the Belarusian Government since 1992. Its main program promotes Slavic music and the majority of participants are artists from the former Soviet Union and other Eastern Bloc countries. The song “SOS (d'un Terrien en détresse)” is originally from a French-Canadian musical called ‘Starmania’ from the 1970s and is considered one of the most difficult French songs to perform.
You have barely even begun to scratch the surface of Dimash's talent and ability. He has continued to hone his skills and to fine-tune and perfect his already unbelievable abilities even more. There does not seem to be a limit to what he can achieve vocally. I am excited to follow his journey. Dimash will possibly go down in history as the greatest vocal talent known to man. I cannot think of anyone, past or present, capable of doing what Dimash is capable of. I am still waiting on someone to name a single individual even remotely close to Dimash's mastery.
If you want to follow Dimash's career progression over the last five years, here is a song list I usually recommend in semi-chronological order: S.O.S. (d'un Terrien en détresse), either the Slavic Bazaar or the 2017 "I Am A Singer" version. His covers from the same competition of Lara Fabian's "Adagio," Eric Carmen's 1975 "All by Myself" (repopularized by Celine Deion), and Freddie Mercury's "The Show Must Go On." Also, from the same show, Confessa & Diva Dance, Opera 2, Daididau, Daybreak, and Autumn Strong. His "I Am A Singer" 2018 guest performance of Lionel Richie's "Hello" is a must. Then there is Sinful Passion (Greshnaya Strast), Love is like a Dream, Your Love, Olimpico (Ogni Pietra) from Igor Krutoy's channel, Diva Dance (Bastau Concert), Across Endless Dimensions (either the movie trailer or his internet live concert performance), and Know (both the regular performance as well as the vocalise). His more operatic-sounding performances are Ti Amo Cosi (with Lara Fabian and Aida Garifullina), Ulisse (Duet w/Aida Garifullina), Tu Vas Me Détruire (duet w/Sundet Baigojin), Question of Honour (duet w/Zarina Altynbayeva), and the aforementioned Olimpico (Ogni Pietra).
His traditional and Chinese songs are also impressive: Adai+Daididau, Samal Tau (2020 Tokyo Jazz Festival), Qairan Elim (Holy Land), Elim Menin (My Homeland), Karagym-ai, Thousand of Miles - A Common Dream, and Ómir Óter. His latest songs, "Fly Away," "Stranger," and "Ave Maria," recently debuted live at New Wave 2021, and the latter two are on a whole new level. Dimash performs an alternate version of "Stranger" on the "Shine! Super Brothers S2" Youku Show that is simply mind-boggling and well-worth checking out. Dimash also recently released "Ikanaide,'' performed during the 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival live stream, which is absolutely incredible. He sings in nearly flawless Japanese.
Avoid any performance from "The World's Best." The show in L.A. was utterly disgraceful. The production team edited and cut all of Dimash's performances down to 2 minutes and cut out his Kazakh song for no reason.

Nothing wrong with the word, "alien" - It is a reaction!! Some people can't say anything - they are speechless! "Alien" is an expression often used by initial reactions that suggests he cannot be of this earth, said more from disbelief than anything else. In any event, Dimash isn't the only singer to work hard at his craft... but (they) never reaching his heights of perfection, either literally or figuratively.

Sorry if I use the word "alien", but I wanted to underline that, in addition to being a real vocal athlete (because he shows us the result of his HARD WORK with his voice, his music, interpretation and so much more...) at the same time he has this beautiful gift from the nature and (unfortunately) not everyone can sing Dimash because not everyone has his beautiful gifts. Trust me, I believe in hard work and when a pupil comes to me claiming to sing Dimash "naturally" I have to explain him all these things…In this way after realizing how good and gifted he is, he can appreciate Dimash's voice even more🤗
Dimash was born in Kazakhstan in 1994. He began studying music at the age of 5, the age at which he was diagnosed with "perfect pitch". Her parents are famous singers in Kazakhstan. He studied piano and singing. He later graduated in classical and contemporary music. He has a master's degree in composition and is currently pursuing a doctorate in musicology. He speaks Kazakh, Russian and English. He sings in 14 languages. He has received countless awards and honors at home and abroad. After competing in "I am a singer" in China 2017, he became famous all over the world. In addition to being a singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist (6), he has ventured as an advertising model, actor, dancer and audiovisual director. He is only 27 years old and is 6.3 feet tall. He lives in his country, Kazakhstan. He has a You Tube page (Dimash Qudaibergen) where he has posted many of his songs. These days he began a tour starting with Dubai where he had a total success with the attendance of fans from 67 countries of the world and that he will repeat in other countries. I cannot fail to mention that he is an exceptional human being. He is known on social media as "the best singer in the world".

Love your Italian influenced English pronunciation. It's lovely. A great analysis of his techniques. He puts so much tonal diversity, colouring into his songs. He gives consistentently 110%. He also gives natural stage presence complimenting his vocals for a visual experience thereby creating a whole transcendental experience. Not only that, he can switch from operatic to pop & can sing rap well too. So he is deeply commited to not just 1 genre, he his commited to music in its entirety. Just lost my Dad recently who worked so hard, enjoyed life his way, but didn't get to see all I could be because he was too dominant on me, he thought he knew better for me than I did. Sadly I knew I will thrive when he passed no longer fearful trying to please, now I am liberated sadly the only way I could manage. But he will see & appreciate me from above, its all his own hard experience growing up allowed him but now, wiser after passing he will love who I become & shine. But it's a tough transition because he didn't allow me to in his business while alive. So it left me exhausted in the last 2 years when he wasn't so well. So I will like to make an impact as a therapist and perhaps, singer and learning other languages like my stepsister has.

I feel very comfortable with your approach to understanding the human voice and the way everything works.. I have been singing for about 39 years well that's because I found something to sing about that is I sing in church and sing all the time.. I sing because it's who I am.. I would like to know what a professional voice coach would think of my voice, I have learned so much from all the different voice teachers who have reacted to Dimash's performances I have learned so much about the human voice and how it works having listened to probably hundreds of these reactions.. and I think it has improved my own singing or at least I understand it better. I really appreciate your teaching and will continue to listen as I have subscribed to your channel.

👉 This song is Dimash’s visiting card. That is the song of the songs for Dimash and us, his Dears (That is what Dimash calls us fans.)
This song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' 1978, well known in French-speaking countries) and is one of the most difficult songs to sing and in 2017 made Dimash a mega-star overnight.
That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home.
Despite Dimash's planned brief presence, his name was intended to be symbolic and understandable to the public. Dimash was given the Chinese name Dimashi and the 3 syllables were assigned in Chinese characters: ⭐Di - achievement ⭐Ma - precious stone ⭐Shi - dream, wish.
This competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood in front of his door.
The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to CZcams ... and so we became Dimash's Dears.
The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. won).
A few months later Dimash sang this song here, as a guest of honor at the opening ceremony of the competition 'Slavic Bazaar 2018. The International Arts Festival “Slavianski Bazaar“ is an annual festival held in Vitebsk, Belarus since 1992. Its main program is devoted to Slavic music (also a Competition).
✴ In January 2021 Dimash was one of the few foreigners who has been asked to attend the live online show marking the inauguration of the President of U.S.A. Joe Biden. He is here as a representative of his country Kazakhstan and he is also here for his Dears from all over the world. This is the first time in the 67-year history of the Sister Cities and the first time since relations between the United States and the concentration camp began (almost 30 years ago) that an artist from Kazakhstan has attended such an event.
