@@davidricks7128 Some folks speculate its because Dimash comes from a Muslim culture and the lyrics of Ave Maria states "Mary the mother of God" which in the Islamic religion Mary the mother of Jesus is HUGLY respected she is also the ONLY women mention by name in their holy book and she has her own chapter called CHAPTER MARY and God even honors her saying " We have chosen thee purified thee chosen thee ABOVE THE WOMEN OF ALL NATIONS" Holy Quran Verse (3:42) . So they love respect and believe in mother mary but they dont consider her to be the mother of god. I read it in a book once very interesting.

Finally someone who also loves Dimash because of his technique and not his range. Yes, his vocal range is outstanding, but to me the most impressive part of his singing is his way of playing with his voice and making it seem easily to change the sound. I'm not a professional in any way but that was the first thing I noticed about him. His vocal versatility just shows how much effort he put into his vocal training. So many people put the label of a genius and pure talent on him. If that were the case, we would have hundreds of Dimashs out there. What makes him unique is the amount of work he put in - in addition to his talent - to get where he is now.

If you enjoy the "whispering", I strongly suggest you listen to his live (I believe) studio performance of "Ikanaide" for the 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival. You will get lots of whispers and even in studio, Dimash cannot help but perform. On an aside, this was his first time singing in Japanese and many Japanese reactors thought he spoke their language fluently, his accent and pronunciation being that good. So you are getting the real deal when you listen to the song. Looking forward to your reaction to it.

I was going to suggest the very same thing! I've heard that this was live-streamed for the Jazz Festival but I'm not sure if this was the exact version that was live streamed or if they put these shots together afterward for the video. Someone who watched the live stream can perhaps answer this. Another good song for "whispering" is "Love is Like a Dream".

OMG! is this real? iv been waiting so patiently for the next DIMASH you rock lady Charrisa!!! Dimash Must have sung over 90 different types of S.O.S versions (exaggerating) throughout the years its his SIGNATURE song. Dimash was born with ABSOLUTE hearing which is why he could have perfect placement. He was tested age 5 and was the youngest in his country to be accepted at a vey prestigious singing school Becaues of his accute hearing capabilities. All his teachers said his voice CANT BE CLASSIFIED even Dimash himself says "do not worry too much HOW i do it just enjoy the journey which is a gift from God". This is what you call humility he doesnt mention the 2hours swimming he does or the 3km treadmill and practicing every techinque on a daily basis before starting his morning NOPE he attributes everything to a higher power which is fascinating. He turned down an OPERA house because he wanted to persue his dream in POPERA NEOCLASSIC this is a PERFECT fit for him because it removes all restrictions and allows him to be himself and do whatever the HECK he wants with his voice. This is his highest viewed video and most famous on his channel when people see it the 1st time they all say "auto tune", "alien" because its so unbelieavably good but i can assure you if you watch a video compilation online of dimash singing ONLY S.O.S versions from 2012 till 2019 you will see the progression he started off like ANY other artist with alota HOLES and weaknessess but as the years past you see how he expand his craft from technique, to confidence to even zero movement to full on choreography. Lady Charissa point is soOo true its not about the range its the mastery of what you have which in his case is Bass Baritone Tenor Alto Mezzo-Soprano Soprano. We must love this man respect him and Cherish this once in a LIFETIME miracle. Cheers P.S please check out the original guy behind the original S.O.S Daniel Balavoine he lives on through dimash after such a tragic death NOT as a video reaction but in your own spare time if that interest anybody. @@sethbullock7647 Right? This is an obvious lip sync of a studio recording that used autotune or some other post processing. Dimash's voice is still amazing live, but people have to stop lying to themselves. You don't need any experience to be able to hear that something doesn't sounds quite right. Dimash, in his lip syncs, tends to move around a lot and mess with the positioning of his mic a lot as well (how far away he holds this mic from his mouth and also holding the mic to either side of his mouth), which should alter the sound, but it of course doesn't because it's a lip sync. I understand that Dimash is aware, in his live performances, that the more powerful his voice is in a section, the further away you have to hold the mic, but in this performance, he holds the mic insanely far away from his mouth at the end which is just unreasonable.

@@yugiohlegend Thanks for that. These people have no idea. The problem is his voice is not what it seems because of his constant lip syncing and use of live autotune. Please look at this ACTUAL LIVE PERFORMANCE. czcams.com/video/iTnOiDWDbR8/video.html . It is absolutely horrendous. And please dont try and tell me he was feeling sick and thats why it sounds terrible If people believe he is the greatest singer of all time they need to be whisked away into a mental institution for immediate treatment. The whole music industry for the last 20 years is based on a giant lie. 95% of all participants cant really sing at all. Its so sad.

Talking about versatility: He makes great use of it in his music videos to illustrate certain situations. A prime example is the music video of Be With Me, where he is using his pop timbre to set the environment to disco vibes, his deep raspy voice to show that the character he plays behaves like a rascal, and in the next second he storms the dancefloor to serenade to a beautiful lady in his beautiful operatic style.

👉 This is the song of the songs for Dimash and us, his Dears.
When I first heard Dimash 5 years ago, I couldn't believe my ears either. I was tempted to look behind my laptop like a little kid to see if there was another singer hiding there.🤣 From that day on, not a day goes by that I don't hear Dimash.
This song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' 1978, well known in French-speaking countries) and is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight.
The best comment from a Dear under this video: „If you are having a bad day, remember, someone had to sing after him.“ 🤣
The competition was open in 2013 to well-known professional singers from the music industry worldwide (theoretically). In reality, only 2 or 3 non-Chinese contestants (Koreans) attended the show.
Foreign participants have been banned since 2016. (The ban was originally intended only for Koreans, but unofficially applied to all foreigners. The Chinese government wanted to ban Korean influence, even though the show was invented in Korea).
In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time (politics). The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home.
Despite Dimash's planned brief presence, his name was intended to be symbolic and understandable to the public. Dimash was given the Chinese name Dimashi and the 3 syllables were assigned Chinese hydroglyphs: Di - achievement Ma - precious stone Shi - dream, wish.
This competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood in front of his door.
The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to CZcams ... and so we became Dimash's Dears.
The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. won).
Thank you Dears for helping to complete the comment.
A few months later Dimash sang this song as a guest of honor here, at the opening ceremony of the competition 'Slavic Bazaar 2018'.

This song is a pearl of the French songbook is a Canadian-French cyberpunk-rock opera written in 1976 by Michel Berger (French) and with lyrics by Luc Plamondon (Canada) and was immortalized in the voices of Daniel Balavoine and Diane Dufresne. The theme of the song is depression and the desire for suicide and, in the 2021 version, Dimash faithfully and brilliantly presents a sentimental and melancholic interpretation! As the singing decisions follow the original structure of the song to show the psychological instability of the distressed character: From the chest voice to the head voice and then the falsetto, the author aimed to show a broad need to overcome a long of despair and need to reach a very high perspective! Dimash, currently in his concerts, dedicates this song to his friends and acquaintances who departed this world

Thank you so much for your reaction. Talking about your comment, on that’s exactly what the Merche says. He doesn’t like people to get to focus in his range but in what he is able to transmit. For me, there is no other singer that makes me feel So much what he sings, even without understanding t he lyrics. He pierces places in my heart and soul that I even didn’t know they existed. So yes, you are right, but besides the way he transmits, he does has a seven-octave range, Which is also amazing and makes him unique and able to sing whatever he wants. And besides what everybody would be happy having, he has absolute pitch, extraordinary Musical intelligence to be able to blend all the genres and styles beautifully, a master of dynamics (his breathy voice has no limits), he is an incredible performer, multi instrumentalist, A perfectionist, an incredible hard-working man… Your name it. And the most stunning thing , is that he does it all perfectly. And if the musical abilities were not enough, he is a generous, humbled, elegant, tall, and Good looking man. What a package wrapped up with a ribbon, made of his last name, which means “God’s gift”. People choose to react after this one, to “simple passion” Bad after these last to hear he has released so many songs that it doesn’t matter which one is the next song. Everyone will send to you like the best one. Maybe “Stranger” for an English speaker would be a good one,But really I don’t think it would matter which one did you reacted to after SOS.

Amazing reaction my friend...I have seen your reactions to Dimash, the best male singer of the world...But now I ask you: Have you seen the best female singer of the world?...The passion and dedication when Dimash is performing a song can only be compared with the person who has influenced him to sing leaving everything on stage: His idol, the queen, the incomparable Lara Fabian...Lara is the best female singer and performer of the world...She is a lyric soprano with a amazing vocal range and incredible breath control, which is one of the things that Dimash admires the most about Lara...She speaks 5 languages and sings like in 12 languages....That's why she is the inspiration for Dimash and several singers around the world...You can see on CZcams covers of her songs made by singers of the stature of: Dimash, Diana Ankudinova, Forestella, Sissel Kyrkjebo, Floor Jansen, Diana Navarro, Morissette Amon, Gabriel Henrique, Katrina Velarde, Cakra Khan and others...Please react to her songs, all masterpieces, in LIVE versions, because Lara is more impressive when she sings live, so you can see why she is the idol of Dimash...Try to do it in this order and almost all songs are from the same Lara’s concert “From Lara With Love” in Montreal 1999, one of her best works: 1) Je Suis Malade (Singing in French)...2) Caruso (Singing in Italian)...3) Je T'AIME (2002 Live version in Paris Singing in French)...4) Perdere L'Amore (1999 Live version Singing in Italian)...5) Adagio (1999 Live version singing in english)...6) Broken Vow (1999 Live version singing in English)...7) You are Not From Here (1999 Live version singing in English)...8) Quédate (1999 Live version singing in Spanish)....9) Ti Amo Cosi (2019 Live version Singing a trío with Dimash and Aida Garifullina)....I hope to see you first reaction soon and if you don't mind, I'd like you to mention me as the person who recommended reacting to Lara...Here you have the link of her amazing performance of the song “Je Suis Malade”....czcams.com/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/video.html

I agree. The shocking thing is how complete his voice is. He can do all the voice textures and has huge overlap between his voice modes, so he has a whole bunch of choices on every note. He controls the brightness, vibrato and airiness at every step.
If you like the whispery stuff, then you really need to react to his recent Ikanaide, which is in Japanese and to the same melody as the Mandarin song "Autumn Strong" or "Late Autumn" that he did in the 2017 Singer competition.
I only know of the Tokyo Jazz Festival version of Ikanaide, but it is extremely well recorded.

It's definitely not just about his range. He's a master of craftsmanship. He was born with a gift and an opportunity, but he has put in the long relentless hours of work to hone his gift. But even with all that said. What makes Dimash beautiful, exceptional and wondrous is his genuine grace and humbleness. There isn't an ounce of smugness in him. He appreciates and loves his Dear as much as we do him. I accredit his wonderful parents, grandparents and family for supporting him and keeping him grounded. He and his family are beloved and blessed.

I agree. He can do absolutely everything with his voice, perfectly, effortlessly. You should do the whole Dimash journey, from SOS on the Chinese Singer Show 2017 where he was shot to overnight fame. Even if you don’t react to them all (but many Dears will come in the ride with you if you do) those “Singer” performances like SOS, Autumn Strong, Daybreak, have something special about them, even though he has done them again many times. There is something more vulnerable, poignant, I don’t know how to explain it, but maybe because he was so young, and his whole future career outside Kazakhstan depended on his success in that show, that he just put something special into them. If you decide to watch them, use Gloria Wu’s channel as she has English subtitles, the backstories to the songs based on real events, and has tweaked something so they don’t get blocked Also try to watch some interviews and documentaries on him because it is the beautiful person he is at his heart and soul that makes him so special, not just his voice
If you watch “opera 2” for example, watch the full version that says he doesn’t know his dad is in the audience. I loved Dimash before that, but this Inter reaction with his dad took my love and respect for him to a whole new level. Welcome to the world of Demashified Dears 😍

Per below, yes, the studio performance of Ikanaide at the late 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival will make you tear up.
