Vanicream’s vitamin C serum is fantastic ❤ plus it’s under $20! As a retired licensed Esthetician with 40 yrs experience I can’t say enough great things about this product!
As for using moisturizer with SPF 30, yes it seems heavy and it has a white cast but be patient! It will absorb! And the benefits will outweigh the extra 3 minutes it takes to rub in and absorb!
Thank you so much for the vit C serum recommendation!!
Thanks for the tip. Vanicream Vit C serum is only 5%, so good for sensitive skin, I guess. I prefer 10-20% Vit C serums. They are more effective
Your skin looks amazing Dr Sugai!
One Doc to another: Love your realistic advice and readily available products suggestion. Thank you. 😊 I use Vit C in day and retinol at night. Keeping it simple.
Thank you for saying that one application is all you need if you're indoors! I wish I'd figured this out earlier because I despise adding layer upon layer. It's expensive and it makes me look like a goon.
😂😅😂😅
@@malditaandromeda2281 seems like you can relate 😂
@@sadiedavenport 👍👌🌞😂🤣
I mean it’s common sense
@strangerthings88 Not necessarily. You're definitely getting less protection as the day goes on because your skin is sweating and secreting oil and the product just wears off. Whether or not (or how frequently) you need to reapply depends on your proximity to windows, activity level, etc. You have to strike a balance between how concerned you are about uv and how much expense and inconvenience you're willing to deal with. It's just nice to hear a board certified dermatologist approve less rigorous attention to uv protection, at least inside. Although even then, his recommendations are somewhat conditional.
How is your layering of the creams and serums? Can you do a video about that as well? Thanks!
Help me understand this…
I’ve noticed a huge brightening to my skin using Sunday Riley Vit C serum.
Adds plumpmess
& radiance.
Sinceuticals CE Ferulic
Nothing
Thank you for sharing your experience.😎💖
I would absolutely LOVE a review on the new Bioactive ceramide moisturizer from The Inkeylist! I haven't seen many reviews from Derms that I actually trust! ❤
I only learned about retinol while pregnant...ive pretty much beed pregnant for the past 2 years 😂
One day Ill get to use it 🤣
It’s so tough not being able to use it while pregnant.
Reapplying every two hours is a chore (especially if wearing foundation) plus I can't find a sunscreen that doesn't leave a white cast on my face 😩. I'm trying but it feels unrealistic to reapply so often.
Plus it's so expensive. In my country we get sunscreen in 30ml, and 50ml bottles.
Everyone is raving about three finger rule, but that much sunscreen just sits on top my face like a white cream😅
I’ve heard good things about the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen. I personally use it and it doesn’t leave a white cast but I also have relatively pale skin so I’m not sure if it is the same on all skin tones. As for the multiple finger amount to apply, I apply half the total amount, let the sunscreen sink into the skin and then apply the second half. It’s been working for me so far and hope this helps you too!
The tinted CeraVe he shows is great, but jeez, every 2 hours, ugh.
@@Judygurl3 not available in my country unfortunately 😶😶😶
Australian Gold tinted mineral sunscreen SPF 50 is nice, a little under $20 a bottle.
Tell me you live in the Pacific NW without telling me you live in the PNW, LOL. (That shot of the sky from your window!)
Yall that helped me tysm!
Luv you dr sugai
You are one handsome guy.
Love your info! Thank you! Can you do a video on the how-tos of increasing tretinoin in your skincare routine? 🙏🏼
Thanks so much!!!
Sorry to request this if you've already done it, but could you do a video talking about the different forms of Vit C? 🙏
Yes! Looking for this !
How do we re-apply sunscreen every 2 hours with makeup on?🧐
if you live somewhere where elf makeup is sold, they have a setting spray spf that you can use to reapply. it’s a primer, refresher and a setter. you can use it without makeup as well. it’s spf 45 and 14$ it’s called suntouchable
@@sourcherry8928ohhh ty
I’ve worn sunscreen every day since I was a teenager (20 years now…) however reapplying (as a lotion) when I am already wearing makeup is not a option during the day. I saw recently that there are now sunscreens in a spray can for the face and it’s kind of like a mist? Are there any of these that you would recommend?
Please tone down the background music when talking. It is hard to hear what you were saying and also not necessarily. Love your channel
Thank you for the feedback 🙏
Can you tell us how to use it too ir in which order and with what it should not be mixed
I use all Oil Olay products. My mom used it bck n the day
Do u like the Olay vitamin C, thts the one I been using for years
Didn’t know you could use a vit c product if you are on a retinol or tretinoin. Thanks!
You always use the olay retinol 24 in your videos. Why not the 24 max. Isn't that better? Please do a video! Thanks!
When do you recommend applying the vitamin c?
I have Systemic Lupus and Psoriasis. My doctor recommended red light therapy to help with Psoriasis flares. I don’t get Lupus rashes. I keep reading mixed opinions on this therapy for Lupus sufferers. What do you think?
How do you get use to retoid? I have tried using it for my acne for over a year and can only use it about 3x a week even now. My skin is literally so sensitive..
How do you layer vitamin c and retinols with other serums (like hyaluronic?)
how many days per week do we wear our retinol cream? thanks! i have the olay
Pelase tell me.On Cerve its nit written how much retinol is inside. Please let me know
Can you tell me why we get age spots on arms and hands and saggy skin but not on legs..!?😢
More exposure to sunlight! Even while driving
Cuz most of you don't wear gloves.
It's overwhelming, how many products you present. Plus, what if you have multiple issues? If you layer all this stuff, it most likely makes some wizard-level slop that isn't going to do anything but drain your bank account.
Could you possibly address this issue, please? I am female, 59 years old, with the first signs of jowls and neck sagging, and brown spots occurring on my left side (professional driver). I don't know where to begin and all these products confuse me.
We’re the same!
Hi Lisa!
So, AM routine: vit C serum + Tinted Cerave mineral sunscreen (or Cerave AM sunscreen moisturizer)
At night: cleanse + moisturizer + retinol serum + moisturizer (sandwich method to avoid irritation from Retinol) I use Cerave Retinol serum - the same in the video
What would you recommend for milia?
I can’t use vitamin C like that it causes a rash on me to bad
Hej
Retinol vs Tretinoin for mature skin?
Tretinoin is the best but it's sometimes too harsh for some people, retinol works slower but won't irritate your skin as much
How do you get rid of peeling dry skin on your face. Can't seem to figure it out.
Castor oil every night for a week
Can you suggest best for wrinkleson the neck and best vitamin C.Will really appreciate
He has shorts on addressing wrinkles on the neck and he has shorts and vides on vit c. You can type in a search, dr daniel sugai neck or dr daniel sugai vitamin c, to find them.
Same Cerave retinol serum on the neck
what do you mean by brightening your skin. what's wrong with dark skin ?
He’s not talking about your natural skin pigment. He’s talking about damage from sun (sun spots) or acne (acne scarring) hyperpigmentation etc.
Can someone help me with this question. I want to use elta md sunscreen but I’m using a vitamin c serum before I apply it. Is this ok? I was told that you should not mix niacinamide with vitamin c. Please advise me if this is ok
That makes zero sense they are mixed all the time
I live in Minnesota, where most of us have a vitamin D deficiency. Wouldn’t wearing sunscreen make it even harder for us to get vitamin D?
It mostly gets absorbed through your eyes too…
There is no man on earth who will apply spf every 2 hours all day
Ain't no woman doin that shit either
I'm a man and try to apply 2-3 times a day if I can. It's a matter of just...rubbing your face which I'm sure you do several times a day anyway.
Do you use retinal everyday?
Women wear make up. I have horrible rosacea. How am I supposed to apply sunscreen over my make up while I’m at work? Some of these ideas are unrealistic or not yet created in a way that makes perfect sense. Give me make up with sunscreen in it, give me powders I can apply with sunscreen in it, I’ll layer. But I can’t reapply sunscreen. You are a man you can slap anything you want all day long on your face. Be reasonable
Can someone please explain "skin brightening" to me? Is that just a politically correct way of saying "whiter?" I'm pale AF. If I was any "brighter," I would be iridescent.
He’s not talking about your natural skin pigmentation. He’s talking about skin damage ie sun spots. It will lighten these spots etc.
You're being paid to tell us this Lies....
Chow yun fat
Bullshit.
How do you get use to retoid? I have tried using it for my acne for over a year and can only use it about 3x a week even now. My skin is literally so sensitive..
