I have a young boy who is fifteen and was told he has cancer in the the liver. The father is in Syria on a mission. The father has no way to get help and I live in in South Texas. I worry but don't know how to help. I am 65 years old and I am retired. Please tell me what I can do. Thank you for taking time for helping this young man

I am really looking to see how to become a nicu nurse since I am pursuing the nursing field; however, whenever I research available jobs they always seem to require at least 1-2 years in a nicu prior to applying for a job. How can this be possible for someone who wants to work in the nicu but can't because of lack of experience, even come close to getting a job in the nicu? The more I research it the more impossible my dream seems to become! Can anyone please give me some advice? I am currently working towards my rn but hoping to go into a bsn and possibly even an msn or doctorate in nursing. So how can someone get experience working in a nicu if they only hire experienced workers?

+Rebekah Inspires Hi Rebekah, I am about to graduate with my BSN this December and will be applying at TCH. (I am not already a RN... I went straight BSN route) They, and a lot of other hospitals, offer what are called Graduate Nurse (GN) Residency programs where they hire and train brand spankin' new nurses! :) Now, I believe TCH typically hires nurses with either their BSN or RN (AD) if they have previous experience. Everything is going to BSN though... so get your BSN asap. Don't give up on your goals! Good Luck!
