- Thousands of supporters from the LGBTQ2S+ community showed up at Queens Park to voice their opinions over The One Million March for Children supporters at Queens Park who are advocating for the elimination of sexual Orientation and gender identity (SOGI) curriculums in Canada.
Teachers, leave them kids alone. Actually the protesters are not haters, because they love and want to protect "their" children. They are not the schools children

I humbly say how proud I am to be a Saskatchewan citizen because of Premier Moe & his gov. standing with the massive majority of people here in support of parental rights. Very little coverage here of our rally & march (no big surprise) that from my stand point had about 750-1,000 in attendance. I saw Maybe a dozen counter protesters. No confrontations. The line has been drawn. As someone else said recently someone has gotten between Mama & baby bear & she’s angry.

I witnessed this at our small town protest, we gathered, discussed the issues said a few prayers then went on our walk, where we were confronted with a gauntlet of guy pride people yelling and chanting at us. We remaind peaceful and just walked on. So who are the violent people in this situation?

I was open to pride and trans but now that it is involving our school kids, I am not for that.

No that’s not the whole story. These bills which “concerned parents” want passed are restricting sexual education. The parents are ok with sex ed which only discusses a straight sexuality - not a gay one, even though both are a real phenomenon in our world. Education is about knowing of all phenomenon in our world. When I went to school I learned of evolution but I ALSO learned the creation story. Why can’t we learn about straight and biological sex but ALSO the existence of gay and trans individuals? Children are not stupid, they have a right to know these things exist. And if they are gay they will find that info elsewhere, perhaps from places you’d rather them not learn from.

i was not given the right resources as a queer kid growing up, neither was my brother or my friends. we deserved those resources, that education, just as straight and cisgender children deserve to have resources that will help them make good choices in life. respectfully, it goes both ways.

ALL kids in Canada have the right to an education and how they want to take advantage of those resources is up to them.
If kids with special-needs require special support, that is fine and there are resources available. There are kids with social-economic challenges, leaning disabilities, kids with diabetes, schizophrenia, bi-polar, down's syndrome ect. They can get help. If there is a kid who is suffering from gender-identity concerns or is suicidal there are councilors to assist. However, to say these kids are on the same needs stream as healthy straight kids, highlights a disrespect for reality.

In high school in the mid 90’s sex ed class was not forced. We had to take a permission slip home to our parents weather they felt it necessary to take the class or not.

This is a very interesting protest for me. I was a music teacher in British Columbia before “quitting” due to the SOGI program being implemented in schools. I write quitting in quotations since those who opposed the change, would be fired for it. I’m just grateful that there are actually protests for this now; it’s about time.
They strategically spread in many parks. I saw them this morning. Stopped my car, opened the window and screamed: GO BACK TO WORK!!!. Never seen such angry faces when someone is telling them to go to work instead of sitting on the streets :D
