El almirante Woodward dijo que si la guerra se extendía una semana Argentina ganaba, si la guerra ocurría en 1950 habría bastado una semana para derrotar y expulsar a los ingleses de Malvinas pero Perón desperdició esa gran oportunidad histórica, el general era muy lento (de paso se sacaba de encima a los marinos y militares antiperonistas).
