  • In this video I wanted to post a quick update on my new e-bike - The 2024 Norco Fluid VLT.
If you haven't seen my first video about this new E bike from Norco you can check it out here: • First Ride on the new ...
I've had the bike for 30 days now so I just wanted to share a few things I have learned about the bike since bringing it into my fleet. I have changed a few components/parts on the bike so I highlight those changes in this video. More specifically I am just sharing some of the connectivity/apps/set up details that I needed to do to get the bike into "rideable" condition (PS - it's an e bike and it has wireless shifting from SRAM so there are a few apps you'll need to have on your phone to make the bike "work"). As well, I share some details on the new ridealinged.com set up guide from Norco so that I could dial in the bike to make it fit better out of the box but more importantly ride better by getting a baseline tune for the front and rear suspension. I threw in a bit of riding footage at the end just to make it more interesting lol - I am still learning how to make CZcams vids that people will like to watch. I have more videos planned soon but figured I would get this one out as an update on how the bike is going after 30 days. Spoiler alert...I am loving it! Please Enjoy and check it out!

Hi Steve. I'm curious about your brake change over. Did you have to drop the motor to change the rear brake? I see on the assembly document that there is a "foam tube" down to the motor cavity only. Any tips would be appreciated. I'm planning to upgrade the brakes on my 2024 Fluid VLT C1.

Hi - I had our tech at Norco do the swap so I didn’t do the work but he said it was super easy to do. You have to drop the motor but that is pretty easy - I believe it’s just 2 bolts on these new sx bosch units. In his words - Just get the internal routing cable, attach it to the hose at the lever end when you cut it, yank it through, attach the new brake and pull it right back through. Whole job took him 45 mins including the motor drop 🤟🏻

What level of assist are you using on rides? (sorry if I missed it in the vid)

I read a Facebook comment today saying someone else bought this bike and it’s not compatible with the range extender because norco haven’t set it up to accept it,do you anything about this?

Hi - That is definitely not true. These bikes can accept the range extender aka PowerMore 250 no problem.

What does the C1 weigh on the scale with pedals? I have weighed the C2 but not the C1.

I have it weighing in with Crank Brothers Mallet E Pedals at 42.5'ish pounds. Thats for my size 4 which is a stock spec as well, nothing done to lighten it up.

How much does the C2 weigh?

@@jennifercaddell7317 I weighed a size 3 at my local bike shop (that's what they had in stock, I would typically ride a size 4), with basic bike shop pedals it came in at 44.53 lbs. More than a bit surprising it weighed that much. Adding on a Powermore 250 range extender will take the weight of this bike over 48 lbs. For comparison purposes I also weighed a size large Pivot Shuttle AM (full power emtb), it weighed 49.90 lbs. The five-pound difference between the two bikes was definitely noticeable just picking them up, the Pivot felt a lot heavier. Buuuut... for the rides I like to do (on my analog bikes 1000+ m climbing is normal, I did two rides on my long travel bike of 1750+m climbing last week) I would have to use the range extender, which puts the Norco C2 pretty close to full power emtb weight.

Thank you. It’s the size 3 I’m looking at. I was hoping it would be just under 44 lbs. luckily I wouldn’t need the range extender for what we do. Thanks for the info.
