    THE PENDO HAS BEEN AROUND FOR 15 YEARS? This train is part of my childhood because of Alstom. Legends.

      Not really because of Alstom,but because of Fiat Ferroviaria,if Fiat Ferroviaria didn't created those excelent trains no pendolinoes,
      I'd tried Class 390,They are so beatiful,Goodbye

      @@denissteff3355 also if britain had not pioneered the tilting technology with the APT, the italian companies could not have develiped upon it.

    These trains have gone so far since 2003.
    When they first arrived there were 53 sets in 8 car form.
    In 2007 390033 derailed in cumbria, the only pendolino so far to be written off.
    4 new trains came in 2012 in 11 car form and now 35 of the 56 sets do this.
    And the new azuma like livery is cool, dont listen to those that hate it
    The first ever uk pendolino service was a train from Birmingham International to Manchester Piccadilly which ran for the 2002 commonwealth games in Manchester

      The 390/0 are 9 car, as opposed to 8.

      The first ever pendolino to be built was in 2001 and the first pendolino in service was in Mid 2002

    Pendolino has been my favourite train since forever and happy to see they are still in service for a loooong time and REFURBISHMENTS! I just love this train in any possible way

    And I wouldn’t be without BR’s APT/P and APT/E otherwise we wouldn’t have these amazing machines.. Rest In Peace Virgin Trains..

    Been on one of those change at Crewe if you're going from Bangor you get the07:22 from Bangor to Crewe then you get the 09:44 to London Euston it's a super voyager from Bangor but then at Crewe it is a pendolino

    Thats a lot of mileage. How often does the suspension/tilting mechanism and wheels need to be replaced or serviced? They must get some wear.

    These trains should have a higher rank and should expand the route and the pendinlino trains will have to keep the work up and I think bantech must add these trains in stepford county railway since they are popular

      @@SuperOpticJ in real life GWR hsts arent used on the mainline anymore. Now they serve 4 coach services from cornwall thats the only reason it was added to scr. Unlike the hst, the pendolino is not a loco so you you cant just magically remove coaches from it to make it suit scr

      Plus irl the shortest a pendolino can get is 9 coaches and only like 2 or 3 stations are big enough to fit a train that long

      1. If there's only a couple stations that long, only make them stop there, or
      2. Simply make them with less carriages. Not everything has to be perfect

    15 years and they have becoming stronger, so has that dreadful stink of sewage too. And Virgin Trains objective was to rip off as many passengers as possible.

    The driver is more or less redundant. The software and computers more or less drive them safely.

      Not as safe as the pendolino however, the old stock cant get up to 115-125 on the shap without tilt assist!

      The 390s seats are really old and beat up and they're a bit smelly but the HST is always dirty and there is loads of fumes in the air
