10:51 you forgot to say “see you later buddy” 😄
Next time just throw the hook and call it invisible bait! xD
My dad calls the Trout Magnet my secret weapon. 😂 I catch largemouth, crappie, and a lot of panfish. Definitely a multi species bait. Great footage!
All you've listed are "pan fish"
Zed Zul Zorander Bass are not panfish. They are a member of the sunfish family. Either learn basic ichthyology or stop trolling on CZcams. Have a good day.
@@ZeddicusTheMage large mouth are not panfish
I love trout magnet and I love your channel too ❤️
That Mini Magnet is hands down the most prolific bait I've ever used, albeit for mini fish for the most part. Bump up to the Trout Magnet or Crappie Magnet and you'll get bigger fish, but not quite as many. I swear by all the Leland products as providing the best bang for the buck when it comes to panfish. Tight lines!
what's the size LB for the line used in this video?
The crappie turn dark during the spawn. Around my area they turn almost pitch black and it's incredible
Yep, they are male black crappie on the bed.
You are the Bob Ross of fishing! And I love your channel! I recently have gotten into fishing and your videos inspire me to get out and fish even more!!
Wasabi gang!🤟🏾🎣
HELL YEAHHH!! bought this kit and the crappie kit and I've caught alot of different spiecies got it mainly for trout but all the fish cannot resist that lure!!🤟🏾🔥🔥🔥
The mini magnet has to be one of my all time favorite lures! Good stuff.
Love your vids Nick, ALWAYS look forward to new ones coming out. Just remember darker lures for stained water, lighter lures for clear waters. 😊🎣
Stacking those catches! Micro fishing makes any fish you catch feel like a monster!
Extra small leland's trout magnet! I know those. I found a pack of those at Bass Pro just north of Atlanta.
Morrell mushrooms battered with cornmeal mix and fried are so good . Great content as always Nick. 👊👍
I found your channel a month ago, and I watch it about three times a week.
Can’t stop watching your vids
Thank you so much for these amazing videos.
Another beautiful Fishing Congratulations Fisherman!
God bless you and good fishing! *Hug!!!* 👍🎣
I just did a video with a trout magnet a week back using a pink and a green trout magnet. Used 2lb test it was sooooooo fun!
This is greatness, nice vid man! 👍
Bluegill: Yeet! 😆
Bluegill: Yeet! 😆
Yellow bass: It was an honor to meet you, your Highness. 🙇♂️
Great video, really enjoying your tiny lure challenges! It's got me thinking about trying similar stuff in FW over here 👍🎣
Your channels the best I chill out watching you search for fish after a busy day at work ....
So glad you're using those
Nick, always putting out those awesome videos! Hope you can do a meet up this summer!
Wooo, tiny bait and ultralight gear, these are my favorite 618 vids
thanks for watchin man!
I really appreciate your videos. I shore fish and your videos are an encouragement. Thank you. The videos are put together well.
I live up in DuPage Co. I fish the Fox. Batavia, Geneva, N. Aurora mostly. The yellow bass used to be abundant in the river. They come down from the Chain in Antioch. I haven’t caught any for years. On white twister tails, you could catch smallies, and yellows. Like 5 to 1 yellows to smallmouth. They fight great! Great content. Cheers.
My aunt caught a brute on a pink jig magnum, we use them religiously. Great content bro keep it up!
Looks like fun to me. Love your show Brother.
Got these a few years ago. The gold headed jig with the pink body works really good, Daughters first cast with it got her a 10” rainbow. I only catch blue gills and small bass with it. Was hoping it would catch perch, not yet.
Love the tiny lure challenge vids
0:39 that moment you realize he had to get out of the car, setup the camera, get back in his car to climb out and make it look like he just got out lol. Videography is a funny thing when you think about it...all for the viewers, you guys better appreciate the little shit people do.
Awesome! That was another really cool video. Everytime I watch, I get fired up for the weekend, so I can go fish!
that's awesome to hear! thanks for watching!
I use the panfish magnet all the time. So so so good around docks in the summer
"See ya later buddy" well I don't think they wanna see you again to be honest 😂
Not sure why but Trout Magnet and Crappie Magnet baits always seem to catch fish! Absolutely love them!
I know right?
I agree with Jacob , I use trout magnet most of the time works for bluegill , crappie , bass , yellowperch
Those trout magic plastics are fantastic! Just started using them for trout and panfish! Great video. You should try the Eurotackle paddletail. It's about 2 inches and the action on it is incredible for such a small plastic.
I love the videos man, great content. I watch every episode. But I gotta ask why do you use a bonnet on a lure rig?
Yellow bass are very tasty, and it doesn't hurt the lake to take a few home!
Love your vids keep up the good work
See yah later buddy😂 great vid👍
D-d-d-done😂
Trout magnet is my go to.
I am so envious that there is such a serene spot for fishing. Where it is legal to fish in Singapore, there are more people fishing than there are fishes in the river.
it is awesome Brother
Good job!!!
I use the Panfish Magnet kit and it works great! Awesome video! :)
Hot water discharge from the Air conditioning? What Air conditioning? Lol
Good video
Cool video man
You definitely need to try the trout magnet pink or white chartreuse on one of your wild rainbow adventures!
I never tried to fish with Plan B before.
Lol it's great for prespawn
Logan Hockenberry lmao
It kept me from fishing with my kid.
hahaha
Plan B...just in case you accidentally, uh, hook up.
I use those all the time. They’re GREAT lures for many species. The chartreuse/orange tail ones are good.
Can you pls show us how you make this rig with this tiny lure and the bobber?
@Red White and Bluegill thx a lot it helped me a lot, do you know if this rig also works with roach(European fish)?
That was a success.
I love the trout magnets. Caught a nice freshwater drum on one last fall at lake Champlain
I tie flies with them in the next size up, panfish and catfish love em. I throw it on a 5 wt fly rod. It works greatl, tie a few, sometimes I'll put chain eyes for a bit of weight. It's fun to catch something from your own creation.
Dude, I've been fishing them for years. I've had 4 species days numerous times. Bass, Crappie, Bluegill, Trout...... Etc. My go to colors are White, Black' n Red, Black, Brown, & Chartreuse. Also, try the Trout Magnet minnow. I believe they have 3 or 4 colors. They are great for walleye. Always fish em on ultra lights, about 6'6" or 7 footers. Your choice on the lb test.
I've caught a ton of fish with those tiny things, but they remind me of trying to rig a grain of rice! lol
I put my white and red mini magnets together. Now I have some red ones and some pink ones. They work great ice fishing.
nick got a couple of "plan B's" O,O woah nickie
Morels .. Hmmm tough choice. Lets see, I can fish 365 days per year or get Morels for about 2-3 weeks, Max. 3 hours later - "whereinthehell did I drop my rod?"
EDIT: I purchased this kit. First impression: These jigs are *small*. For an old guy like me, with failing eyesight and disappearing finger dexterity - the plan is to attach leaders to the jigs, using my fly tying vise, because I would never be able to get them tied on in the field. I have already noticed that the hooks are EXTREMELY sharp. I hope to update soon, after a week in Michigan in June.
hahahaha trust me when i said i looked for a good 30 minutes after i saw the first one
@@618Fishing Been there, done that. Suggestion for next time - When you find one .. get down on all fours, get yer head down close to the ground and look sideways, right across the surface. Sometimes you will be surprised and a miniature forest of Morels reveals itself.
They work pretty good on stocker trout as well.
I subbed to u
Man I love these things. Been meaning to try them on a fly rod too. Bass Pro carries that set and small replacement hook sets. Got an extra 5 feet out of my casts when I changed from 6 to 4 pound line. All the panfish here love em. Take it on the drop every time. If I hit bottom I just retrieve as fast as I can most the time.
Also worth mentioning that a fiberglass rod loads up better with these little guys. I use a Bass Pro MicroLite Glass. Cheap rod. Yellow. Cork handle. Can't miss em. Hard to beat em
thanks for the tip! casting these micro baits is tough
Those crappies were not crappy at all... pun intended
I'm definitely going to have to try those soft plastics.
Nick, it's crazy how you always have tanks bite your ultra light with a 2lb test. The setup you tie on the ultra light do the same on your heavier gear. I would
It's 5 am. I woke up for sahoor. Then the notifications pops up
6pm in america
I use trout magnets too. They put in work if you want to catch a bunch of different fish
A few of the biggest crappie I have ever caught were on mico baits after I down sized from a 2" bait down to a .75" jig. BTW just seeing all that poison ivy is making me itch!
i was itching for a few days after this adventure 😭
@@618Fishing my pb was on the mini trout magnet a 16 inch crappie.
LOL, I just got that kit on Saturday and was thinking of you. Caught 8 big bluegill in 20 minutes on the orange ones, went back the next evening with my daughter and she caught a few more.
awesome man! yeah they apparently flat out catch fish.. thanks for watching!
I also got the micro popper in the same color u got and the first fish I hooked into was about 1lb and it snapped my line and I lost the lure, I got bluegill to hit it tho
🔥🔥🔥
Accidentally got these on amazon instead of the normal trout magnet. I’m not mad though because they are perfect for creek fishing!
Hi dude. What you having on the fishing line for this setup?Ithat "white staff" on the end of the line is sinker???THX.
If I were to choose 1 lure for survival it would be a pink trout magnet. Everything here in Eastern PA eats them. My PB largemouth was on one when I was targeting bluegills.
dang that would be a pleasant surprise when targeting gills!
How much did you pay those guys to pretend they knew you?😎 Btw that warm water discharge was begging for a #12 brown wooly bugger to be fished through it. Another good video.
lol loved the very end laughed my ass off best ending ever. great video. the fish are dark cause of the spawn.
haha thanks for watching!
@@618Fishing thank you for making the video's keep it going i watch every one. If you ever make it to northern Indiana hit me up. I'd love to go fishing with you.
Try using these in a tandem rig bobberless with a full sized 1/64 trout magnet or a crappie magnet. I use them with various jigs in tandem to simulate a tandem nymph with a midge at the bottom.
I haven't fished since I was in my early 20's... so 20 years ago. It never occurred to me to use a bobber with a jig. I hated using leadhead jigs because they would always sink way to fast and end up getting all gummed up in the moss around the edge of the pond/lake.
5:25 ahh, you finally get to the morel of the story...
I've done really trout with the pink trout magnet. I've caught bass with it while trout fishing. It's great if you know if a small hole near shore where you can just bounce it a bit.
Try fishing 4-5 feet down for crappie. The smaller ones are in the shallows. Good luck.
I have the Panfish Magnet kit, that works fine, but I'm always looking for micro lures, since I mainly target panfish.
Once I found the morel mushrooms,,, for sure I would have been done fishing and on the hunt
Those darker crappies are black crappies, the lighter colored ones with green are white crappie.
Ye I also think he knows that but a black crappie has those black spots
And the white crappie are white
Not just that, but durring spawn both species darken up but with Blacks turning almost an inky jet black
Hey 618 Fishing
I just found you're channel a few weeks ago, i'm enjoying you're stuff as most other American channels i'v been watching just fish for bass, it seems to be the national fish or something "and i can understand the attraction too, it looks fun"
I'm guessing those fish you were catching (bluegill?) are classed as Panfish?
Here in the UK back when i was a kid my neighbour used to take me fishing on the river and taught me everything i know.
From fly fishing for trout to ledger fishing for barbel and chub, But i used to enjoy a technique called "Trotting" which is based on light gear and what we call a center pin reel (basically a frictionless oversized fly reel) very tricky to do right with finesse.
Anyway we used small maggots called ''pinkies'' that look exactly like that pink lure you used fist, about the same size too only alive a wriggling.
We would catch fish called dace, rudd and roach and if you were real lucky a beautiful fish called the grayling also known as (The Lady Of The Stream)
Now its all carp fishing here and it's all about how big the catch is and how expensive you're gear is,
it's kind of spoilt it for me as i just enjoyed the peace and beauty to relax and unwind.
Anyway i just wanted to say i really enjoy you're content, and this video in particular sparked memories of way back when..
Looking forward to more of you're vids in the future, with ❤ from UK
Lee.
Morrel mushroom gravy on some breaded chicken 🤤
I’ve been fishing with these for my entire life basically. Go up a size and use the white and chartreuse and you will slay everything.
Iv been watching you for a lil while now ,,, that being said I have caught myself a few times now letting fish go and saying (seeyu later buddy)... I Never use to do that 😅 idk bud
Smallest jig in the world? Fly fisherman would like a word with you...i get 1/200 oz eye weights for some of my flies...you can always go smaller!
But it's a jog which alternatively is usually to heavy for a fly rod but idk if you fly fisherman use jigs as flues, I'm still learning about fly fishing and how to catch fish with it..
Tshark 17 i tie my own flies with up to 1/32 oz jigheads, its unpopular, but it works and its cheap to pick up a ton of crappie jigheads
Nick, you might want to expect some small baits in that P.O. Box seeing how popular these challenges are getting. Just sayin.
Would these any good for a survival kit, or would you need a good rod to get the bait in the right place?
Hello
Thank you for good video. What kind of float you use?
If you want to properly use micro nano lures, you can try a light rock fishing rod, like japanese mebaru game rods or aji game rods, another sensitivity with micro jigs.
There are two different species of crappie. black crappie and white.Black crappie like rivers and creeks, moving water.White crappie like ponds and lakes.Although you can catch both it's just that black crappie tend to be rare in ponds and lakes. I live on Toledo Bend Which is the second largest man-made lake and the number one crappie lake in Texas.
I have the same kit and use it as a stinger with the larger trout magnets.
You should try a small pencil float instead of a bobber, willing to bet you'll see more bites.
I challenge you to try to catch a fish with cheetos cheese balls, cracker jacks, gummy worms or top ramen.
Trout Mini Magnets work well with a fly rod. Try it.
