Can’t be mad at it, do think he’s 100% going to have to step in at son point. I do think they finally found there guy at LT for years to come thankfully. Learning from Moses & Smith will be huge for him. Will get a ton of reps also. Expecting him to start at some point
Should never have been a doubt. And there's NO DOUBT he'll be trading back up with that ammo to get a prized possession. To get Olu and get picks to use to make a play in Day 2 is brilliant.
disagree on the eval. his pass pro will not translate to the next level - small hands, weak upper body, inconsistent hand placement, no ability to leverage length and control/redirect stronger rushers. you mentioned it with the note about protecting his chest - it's a problem. and everyone recognizes that his run blocking is straight up bad. I like the decision to go OT, but they got the wrong guy imo
@@PlayLikeAJet it's all there in the tape, i assure you. everyone handwaves at ohio state (and that game produced some really horrific lowlights for sure), but michigan was even more concerning on a snap-by-snap basis. his punches are weak and late, his hands are far likelier to end up on opponents' shoulders/backs than chest, and he reacts/absorbs rather than controlling reps. i can get the argument that he's a worthwhile traits-based gamble - great movement in pass pro, strong natural anchor and very good lower-body flexibility. there's certainly a ceiling there if he gets the right developmental regime. but his technical instincts are severely wanting, so i have no faith in his floor.
@@Njbear7453 @PlayLikeAJet I didn't think we were arguing. We are all aligned on goals here, we just have different ideas of how to get there. In no world do I understand football better than Luke, so his opinions are definitely better informed than mine. But this is an inexact science for something that we don't even have control over anyway.
Sorry Luke, not this one. Im not feeling this one. I also wanted Brock. Like you, I wanted a target for our boy Rogers. Im down in the dumps with this pick. So much so, that I stopped watching the rest of the draft.
This was the pick! I didn't want a pass catcher at 10. I'm tired of our QBs getting beat up for almost a decade now...
Film breakdown will be coming TOMORROW MORNING!
Everyone knows I wanted Bowers and also preferred Fuaga, but we got the best pass protector in the draft! I’ll take it

If this pick is insurance against a repeat of last season, I like it.
Depends how much you think they should have invested. D. Smith and Bak are adequate insurance for a short window
Coach up his hand usage and run blocking techniques and he’ll be a top tackle for the next 10 years.
Love it
Speaks volumes how they feel about Carter Warren and Mitchell. I wanted Bowers but respect the pick as well.
Great pick, means JD and company had more security then Joe Can thought. Watch the trade up for the weapon.
Joe Fan
Maybe. Or it might just mean he believes they’ll, so he’s building for the future anyway

WHAT’RE YOUR THOUGHTS? FASHANU AT 11

This is completely wrong. It’s the run blocking side that he’ll struggle with.
This is a fairly wild eval haha

Honesty I think you all were nuts for wanting Bowers at 10. We did the right thing. When's the last time Smith played the entire season?
Doesn’t mean that drafting tackle was the right move. Could have added smith or Bak, who are still sitting there.
@@PlayLikeAJetI think the move always had to be tackle. What good is a weapon if you don't have time to find him?
@@ZalexMusiclet’s not argue anymore, it’s over
Again, you have Smith and Moses and Bak/Smith as a backup and that’s not a problem lol

Don’t like the pick

Let’s break down the film together tomorrow and keep moving forward
