I think we gotta give these younger kids a break for "sounding like" reviews/reactions. I truly think we've just reached the age range where we are going to see the undeniable influence of people like Swift, Del Ray, and Lorde. Those ladies paved the road for all these younger artist; we're seeing the fruits of their labor. And, I know it's not your intention to use the references as a "diss", for lack of a better term. But, you're probably about one of the only people who doesn't mean it in a downward way. These girls/guys are making the music that they grew up on. I won't beat them up too bad.

We need the Rosalia album!! Itâs very different from what you usually listen to but i think youâll appreciate the production. I would do a little bit of research before listening so you know a little about it before going into it.
She is basically this generationâs Taylor Swift and is appealing the same demographic that she did in 2006-2012. I am sure she will grow up to be a great songwriter...
@@ssmaamam hey Sam, don't say she's better than taylor at that age when music then was way different than what we have now. Olivia is talented but she knows she's influenced by Taylor's songwriting. Olivia's as much as a swiftie as someone who grew up with Taylor's music and she shows that proudly. Right now, her music is great but not really brilliant yet. And that's okay, she's just starting out.

And also to be fair I was defending Taylor because the original comment was clearly trying to make the whole taylor swift only sings about breakups thing.

Echoing similar sentiment from many others, teenage me would have already been in love with her lol She is perfect for her age group.
I'm in my late 20s, so I'm long past the angsty "I am my emotions and a tortured romantic" phase of those years lmao But, I've enjoyed both songs a lot and can see her appeal for the younger audiences.
I honestly can't wait to see how she grows as an artist. There is a lot of potential there to me. Vocally and creatively there is plenty of room for some quality maturity in the upcoming years.

Apparently the Uptown Girl line was just a made up line in the song that the Producer came up with. It wasn't really what he did. It was a just a line to fit in the song. She did an interview with her producer for Rollingstone and broke down some of the songwriting for this song.
