@@SAMANTHABOTCH From what I've seen, every dollar goes to the people, as well as money out of Mark's own pocket. I always do a lot of detective work on my own before giving my money (I have very little) and in this case I watched the GoFundMe page and calculated the price of everything involved. There is definitely an outside influx of money coming in versus the amount that is donated. Mark is the real deal as far as my research is concerned.

The little girl is just adorable! I want to just take her and hug her and feed her everything they ever wanted to eat. It’s so sad that the coronavirus has affected these people and they don’t need anything that’s going to make it worse. I always felt that nobody should ever go hungry or homeless.

Sweet corn can be eaten but not easily digested. you must chew properly, this corn is called sweet corn and isnt easy to break down in body so you may poop out kernels if you do not chew well

I dont even get this youtube post. Yes its true that its lockdown but did he mention that the government is giving out FREE FOODPACKS AND CASH ASSISTANCE for the poor? Everyone gets them he should tell them that they are entitled to food and assistance by the local government. Maybe these people dont have any idea yet. Information is vital.

Here we eat yellow corn. You can just boil it, it tastes sweet. We even made it into fried corn with flour. Actually I never eat white corn before. So I wonder how white corn taste
We eat yellow corns in our country. We made MAMALIGA and eat sometimes instead of bread. Corn kernels are chopped until they look like flour.At 1 liter of water we add 1/2 kilo of corn and some salt.We boil and mix them until it looks like a paste...just an ideea..You are doing an wonderful job !
Cesar if she get a pot of water boil the corn on the cob so the grains swell, remove them to drain. When cool, grater them to make corn meal which makes porridge, or mix w/flour make dumplings. Yes the yellow corn can be roasted too in the trash/skin when younger. The drier the corn is the harder it is. I would crack them small in a mortar and pestle or use a hammer n boil n eat.

Actually the government have been giving foodpacks and now will give cash assistance to poor people. I dont know if these people know this but they should go to their local officials. He should tell them that they will get food and money. I dont know what this drama is all about.

The grower of the corn has told these people the corn is not for human consumption so that the do not cook it and eat it..that corn could feed a starving community for a long time..very sad.

It is not a problem that they work on a corn field or any other job. The true problem is that they do not get paid well... I persume such work as 5$ to 8$ a hour for a worker and yet these people are paid in pesos and ends up with a dollar a day. It is totally unfair.

It makes me smile just watching how excited Cesar is when opening the boxes and presenting the goods to the family. He is having as much joy as they are :)
It's so sad that these families are starving and have bags and bags of corn, but don't realize that they CAN actually eat that corn :( It's field corn, so you can't just bite into it like regular corn on the cob, but you can grind it up into cornmeal or corn flour and make it into other edible meals.
The farmer might get mad though

Don't expect them (the kids) not to work in a poor communities, it is rare to see them. What do u want to expect, their parents don't have any material things in life.
