I was trying to teach myself this from the video and wondered why I was having trouble getting it; eventually realized I had too much traction so I was sticking to the floor and couldn't pivot on the ball, then wondered why it seemed so hard to move my feet :P Also wondered why I kept moving backwards, then realized the second step after the kick crosses in front, not behind like the first (I was about to bump into the sofa behind me)

I managed to get it once I took my shoes off and slowed it down until I figured out how the weight transference should go for it to work. I may have got a splinter from grinding the ball of my foot into the floorboards, but I nailed it! ;)
