Yes, we can all say people like this who show of their wares they have accumulated over the years. But its people like this who are curators of collections like this, that will be able to enjoyed for future generations.
Very nice collection. Will always have a soft spot for the VN SS Group A, I was working at Holdens Elizabeth plant at the time of their production, and got to drive one off the production line. Awesome car
I remember the days when out on a Friday night cruising every second car was a VL VK or VS SS, the odd gemi would make an appearance or vh but they were clunkers lol. Gemini would go hard if you put in a engine from a VN lol...a mate was president of a local hoon car club with 100 members all had a vl VK or VS lol some had all 3..mate had a Walkinshaw it got totalled at the gold coast..he let someone who had been drinking take it to do a servo run..he wrote it off and abandoned it where it stopped then called my mate 3 hours later to let him know, he had two vl Calais lol one two tone red and silver and one orange/gold colour, a VK ss....15 years later your lucky to see one here and there lol everyone's got them stashed away like hoarders lol... another mate had a vl HDT Brock lol had Momo woodgrain wheel with momo gearshift and peddles Momo rims, rear quarter roll cage, v8 4spd manual... coming back from NSW a deer found its antlers into the front bar and radiator..he was driving around for months stopping on the red dash light overheating warning lol pop the boot where he had plastic jugs of water and a pepper shaker lol wait until it's cool enough to take the cap off pour in some water add pepper then top up with more water lol back in the rumbler again
Amazing collection 💯 Darrell, I have a black 1947 Chevrolet Fleetmaster convertible, believed to be the only one in Australia … it needs to go to a good home. Let me know if you’re interested
As someone from America it would definitely have helped to know more about the engines and general driveline? What cubic inch, what horsepower etc. Very weak on stats for the uninformed..almost didn't need my volume on...ALMOST..
@@STREETMACHINETV Love the channel and the Aussie car scene is Killin' It right now !! I really think you guys have got us California guys beat at the moment ! Cheers !
Darrell is an absolute gentleman! Epic collection.

It had to be a premier 😊
It's crazy how many rich people there are in Australia.

epic
Yeah we all already knew that if you want a chance at winning grand Champion, you need to be able to throw at least half a million dollars at a car.
Is that the SV 99 the one that sold last year for $57000?
I pick the free one thanks
Wooo, that guy talks ! Did he even breathe in the first 15 min ?
I like the cars but I'm going to have to watch this in small portions.
It's a big video, but worth the watch, if you have to break it top into sections that's totally fine

The VN 304 sounds the best!
The LS sounds too smooth, not a lot of character compared to the Holden V8s.
He just the caretaker till he dies
That's all any of us are really
The Bently tho
😊😊😊
Poxy
id love to know how he made his money
same, and does he want to adopt a 47yo, lol
Very successful builder
He inherited a building company from his father, who inherited it from HIS father.
@@ChristopherHallett bought in, not really inherited
