Aui did a draft analysis of the ti finals, great 3 part series. Also one thing that does factor is tundra and secret had just played upper bracket, so the draft as conversation had already started.
Tier 1 - What Avery listed is more like the difference between S-Tier and A-Tier.
In most esports, teams that consistently play Tier 1 tournaments, are Tier 1 teams.
So tier 1 is top 10-12 teams with Tier 1.5 the rest of the top 15-20.
Tier 2 are the teams that rarely if ever get into Tier 1 tournaments but are making into top 5-10 of qualifications.
While, Tier 3 are likely not even getting near qualification.
Question for next time: SVG’s top 3 cities he visited while playing professionally or as Talent, and why?
The reasons can be completely unrelated to dota (and are welcome). Would love to hear more classic tales from the man!

I'll be greedy and ask a 2nd question, do (either/both of) you feel a 'responsibility to the viewer to be honest about a team's chances in a game/series/tournament. Or do you feel like making an 'exciting' or 'entertaining' story trumps that "duty"?

Cap: Why doesn't SEA win tournaments?
SVG: Great question, here is what is interesting about Secrets Dawnbreaker in ti11...
Because everyone know pinoy people listen to this podcast and they are easily triggered so they cant say much.
To be fair to SVG, he did touch on why SEA wasn't winning tournaments initially then went off on a tangent of what it takes to win TI.
It was also TI12 where Secret played Tundra, but they'd been talking about TI11 Spirit vs. LGD earlier which is easy to get confused by. The interesting thing is that SVG didn't recall that Nyx was banned out first phase all 3 games of the final because W_Zayac had a 100% win rate with the hero at TI and it was the pillar that Secret's unstoppable Dawnbreaker strategy revolved around. A great adaptation on the part of Aui_2000 and co to deny Nyx all three games and essentially crumble the strategy through banning out the hero that enabled the biggest problem whereas less experienced teams would just ban out the Dawn.

Tldr, sea macro concept is too fcking weak to contest other regions

Any thoughts on what SEA teams can do to improve? Should they transfer to another region with better management and organization? because I think there are many great talents in SEA but the management and the orgs here are subpar
