Hey yall! in this video I show you guys how I get these super easy heatless curls for short hair! I recently cut my hair and i’ve been loving to wear this hairstyle. Now that you know how to do it too, hopefully you love it too!

For girls with thick hair who don't get flawless results: our hair isn't meant for heatless styles that include water. Since our hair is thick and being compressed with twists and braids, your hair will take FOREVER to dry and when you think that it's time to un-twist your hair, chances are that it'll still be a bit damp and your hair will get poofy and frizzy once it completely dries after undoing your twists/braids. So from someone with thick hair who has tried SEVERAL heatless methods, i have found that damping your hair with gel does wonders! it keeps your curls in place and your hair won't get poofy or frizzy. i use the Suave max hold sculpting gel 8. it's cheap, non-sticky, fast drying and alcohol free! btw it doesn't leave your hair feeling crunchy or stiff.. depending on how much you use of course. Really hope this helps someone :)
Edit: turns out my hair was naturally wavy the whole time. My hair was frizzy and unruly because it wasn't supposed to be straight in the first place lmao. I've been doing the curly girl method instead and my hair now makes %10000000 times more sense 😂. Maybe give the curly girl method a try? Your hair could've had a whole other texture and you didn't know it ;)

The thing I hate about my hair is that they curl beautifully when I have longer hair but when I cut them and keep them short, which is most of the time, I look like a sheep

I had to cut my hair right above my shoulders because there were so many split ends and damaged hair up to that length. I didn’t like it. I wish I could keep it long. I was going to grow it out but oh well.
I also thought it was a good idea to do a banana hair mask and it went wrong. It dried up too fast in my hair and chunks were still in my hair even after washing them “off” so I spent more than half an hour trying to get it out and ended up with some damaged hair... I don’t think I’ll ever do another homemade hair mask since every time I tried it, it was a disaster.
@@mundanemonday46 that's exactly what I had to do, my hair was so dead from the winter beyond repair so I decided to get a bob but the hair stylist gave me layers because it was that damaged and now my hair is crazy the layers stick out and my curls are like wtf do I do & I'm so tempted to just straighten it but it'll damage it again 😭

Mine is the exact opposite, it’s a really weird length since I cut it REALLY short last year, so it looks stupid when it’s down and looks better when it’s in a ponytail

If you have thick hair or heavy layers, you can also do the exact same thing sorta. Split it down the middle, but then split both those sections through the middle too, and do 4 braids instead of 2 it'll dry faster and last longer AND be curlier

What does the back look like though??? Bc if the braids/ twist are it the front than i want to know what the back looks like

I tried it once and it looked soo ugly from the back and i looked stupid
You can try and do the braids/twists more towards the back. I do mine kind of in the middle of each section, not in the front, and that way the back looks good too.
It depends on the length of your hair. If it's longer than the shoulders then the back wont be very curly. But if you have short hair till the shoulders then the back is really pretty.
I wanted to do this for my ponytail cause my hair is so thin that straight hair makes it look like a rat tail. Curly hair gives a little volume. So for me it's not a problem to leave hair at the back
