- More radio programs from the early 1950s, part of my favorite period in Old Time Radio. This was just when television was really starting to become popular and threatening radio as an entertainment medium.

I was 11 years old in 1950. Radio was my greatest love every Sunday afternoon and evening until I had to go to bed. I listened to one program after another while laying on my bed. I just loved it!
@Jj Ko 178 Heck no. I kicked the bucket 2 years ago but was too ornery to go.
Was born in June/52....nice to hear what was current at that time.....our family did not get tv till around 1957....I was in the tail end of the radio generations.....but grew up in the first tv generation!!!!!
The great thing about radio was that you could use your imagination. Nothing limited what people and places looked like and felt like.
Give me this any old day over what is on TV nowadays
