    We all know there are certain items every motorhome and campervan should have (if you don't, see link above).
    But what about the gadgets which aren't ESSENTIAL, but which make van living easier or more fun? Which accessories are worth the money and the space they take up, and which… aren't?
    After 4 years of touring Europe in our motorhome, there are plenty of things we carry onboard which we love. Heck, just trying to narrow the list down to 5 was impossible! So we sort of compromised and agreed on 7.
    So, whether you want gadgets for wild camping with your motorhome, power management, space saving or fun campervan accessories, here are some of the things we recommend.

    Just remember that when you buy Dyson products, you're supporting one of the most vocal campaigners for removing our freedom to be able to motorhome around Europe.

    Hey guys thanks for this video. Sorry to say for a small motorhome none of these are suitable. Vacuum Cleaner window vac . Too big to store. Knife rack. We only have one sharp knife. No wall space for magnets. Etc etc. Whatever we use put in van must have more than one use. Example . Shower caps you can put over muddy boots when popping in and out of van. Saves taking walking boots off and on if forgot something and have to go back.into van. Also store boots in cupboard and it stops mud falling off in cupboard. Table has number plate on it and can be left outside to reserve pitch on Campsite. Cheers from old George and Jane 👫🤠👍

    A Leatherman multitool with all the attachments. I used to have a boat and this was the first extra I grabbed, invaluable. Second the small three legged Camping Gaz BBQ, fits on a table or the ground minimum weight and fits in the gas locker where a second bottle would sit, as no longer required by Gaslow. I had too much time on my hands waiting 23 months to take our first motor home to France last September.

    Karcher window vac was the gadget that i thought i never needed and now wouldn't be without! Also good for drying the bathroom. Electric fly swat very useful for scotland

    I'm going out in my new motorhome this afternoon to spend the night in it on a campsite....I'm excited but really scared at the same time. I'm loving your videos. Do you travel a lot on your own? XX

    I use a hand held blow torch for making toast. Takes about 10 seconds each side. Takes up no space.

    Not so much a gadget as it was there when we got the van , but our eberspacher diesel heater has to be the no 1 item of choice for us !

    My favourite is the Alde heating, or maybe hydraulic levelling? Or.........Slow cooker, great to come back to hot food. Bread maker, amazing being woken by the smell. Toaster, 1000w works from the inverter.

    My favourite gadget is a airfryer, never off site power!. 3.7litre capacity. £38 Asda. Cooks every thing. Use gas minimally.

    It’s a vacuum cleaner; Hoover is a trade name of a vacuum cleaner.

  • @carolynandcocohaywood2638

    I always use a jerry can to fill my water tank when I’m away, so much easier.

    Enjoyed that. Thank you. Just ordered the Dyson but can’t find your Karcher with, what looks like, a narrow head/blade anywhere even though I’ve been keeping my eye open for one since you mentioned it previously. I love the water filter can but sooo expensive and doesn’t the filter need to be used regularly? ☺️

    What's going through a dog's mind? "I know, to disguise my dog smell, so that my breakfast doesn't think I'm going to chase it and eat it, I'll disguise my self as a fox".

    Hi, So my wife and I are picking up are first motorhome around December 6th, Never had a motorhome or ever been camping, SO we have been doing a lot of reading, it's a very, very steep learning curve, We are going to get a powerbank/power station, and just ordered a diesel heater, BUT what interest us the most is, HOW do you find the off grid camping places, say We want to go to Scotland from where we live, the Isle of wight, and have two off grid stops in-between, how do you find the places to stop that are wield off grid?

      We're in our 70s picked up our first motorhome on December 19th. Like you we've never been camping or caravanning. There's lots of apps for night stops. Park 4 night being one, but lots of others. We've joined the caravan and motorhome club as we like being on a site with EHU ect. Good luck with your adventures.

    Ps Dyson isn't a Hoover. They are Vacuum Cleaners.

    • @Jabber-ig3iw
      @Jabber-ig3iw Před 2 lety

      Hoover, as well as being a brand, is just a generic term for a vacuum cleaner.

    • @arriesone1
      @arriesone1 Před 2 lety

      @@Jabber-ig3iw True, everyone today calls their vacuum cleaner a ‘Hoover’. Hoover company must be happy eh. Endless advertising.
