    In this weeks video I look at the new company Novix outdoors as well as the new tree stand to hit the market the ECHO. I look at the new for 2020 ECHO tree stand as well as give my thoughts on the new company.
    See the specs below taken from Novix web page.
    The benchmark by which all other hang on treestands are measured
    Lightweight, roomy, deadly quiet, and easy to use;
    Fits trees 4" - 22" in diameter
    Features a convenient self-leveling seat and platform
    The large, contoured foam pad gives all-day seating comfort
    Weighs just 11.5 pounds and has a 350-pound weight rating
    platform dimensions - 30"x 19.5"
    Its definitely a stand I will add to my arsenal and im really looking forward to using it on all day sits! Thanks for watching - Polack

    Dude! Great review! I hunted from Lone Wolf stands when I was younger. For only half a pound I can’t see why someone wouldn’t want the larger platform. I had a couple of the old Lone wolfs with the narrow back like the Assault 2, and IMO, if the tree is so tight the larger platform won’t fit, you can very well risk hitting a limb with your top bow limb. Anyhow, I got sick of wrestling with getting my Millennium camlock receivers in exactly the right spot, and then wrestling the stand back out of them at the end of a hunt. The Millennium seats are super comfy, but I’m done with them. So I’m trying to decide between this Novix and the Chippewa Wedge-loc. Looks like the Chippewa seat is more comfortable and you can stand tight to the tree without cable restriction, but the Novix is lighter and would fit more trees with the offset bracket system. Only thing I really didn’t like about my Lone Wolfs was the seat if I remember. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for the video.

    • @MichiganGreatOutdoors
      @MichiganGreatOutdoors  Před 4 lety +1

      My favorite stand is the Lone wolf assault 2. Definitely small and light enough to go anywhere. I think its the best overall value for size, price, weight.
      I plan to use my Novix for gun season where I tend to hunt all day sits and the extra room should be nice. Im not familiar with the wedge lock stand, sorry. Also Hunt comfort seat mod is supposed to be real nice cause the stock Lone wolf seats suck.
      Also if money is no option u could look at lone wolf custom gear. Thanks for the kind comment on the video. I appreciate that.

    Fantastic job on the review. I was searching for a new stand and did a lot of research. Your videos were super helpful and ultimately I got this same stand after your review. I think the stand is really nice. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars. Only thing lacking is the seat comfort. The seat on this thing is like a thin slab of concrete. Not comfy at all! Thanks again.

      2) safety you can hang upside down not lying CZcams video.
      3) I use one stick climbing method I am getting a mini beast stick that weighs less than 2lbs with a ridge runner platform 3lbs. I can walk with my tree saddle on me into the woods. Plus I plan on carrying a gullies suite that weighs 2lbs.
      You can hunt slanted tree's and trees with branches. The list goes on and on. Thier is a down side you do have to practice your climbing methods and learn how to shoot from a tree saddle . It might take few weeks of practice to get good with it but it's not brain surgery.

      @MichiganGreatOutdoors  Před 2 lety

      Hey, I called Novix and asked them about this and one of the managers told me that they have never painted the stands, he said the tan color comes from the aluminum oxidation that happens over time. He said they have changed what he referred to as the "quench' fluid which is done after the heat treating process. He said the fluid will darken over time. He also said because of the super high demand of the novix HELO and the foundry being behind in forging new castings the stands are shipping out as fast as they are assembled so they have no time to oxidize in the plant. I was told the tan color will will naturally appear. This is what they said because I called them and asked. I wouldn't think they would intentionally mislead me. Thats all I know....
