C7 ZR1 went mid 8's @ 160 boost only with the same blower. This car should be right in that ball park once the tuners get their hands on it.
This C7 is at least 600lbs lighter than this car so unlikely the times will be the same even with similar power

People are soo hung up on its weight. Remember, the track package will weigh less plus have lots of downforce and grip around corners. The track package is the one will have all the great lap times. The dual clutch transmission really made a difference!!!

The current C8 isn't super charged but still beats this Mustang in the 0-60. Next year you'll see the supercharged/turbo'ed version of the C8, which is rumored to have around 800 HP. So no, game is far from over..

Base model and all runs were on factory tires, we did not use drag radials. We used 93 octane in Florida and I'm not sure in Vegas, but probably 91 there, I'm not sure what's available.

It took forever to get here but this GT500 was everything Ford said it would be and more. I think some drag radials and the right DA and it might break into the 9s

@rlrdh10 First off I love your enthusiasm about a car that has thus far surpassed a large portion of peoples expectation. Oh and your sled theory can be applied to the demon and the hellcat redeye. As for the probability of a sub 10 pass it's completely plausible. Here are my reasons why the car was in a horrible DA even here in florida most people will tell you between the humidity and heat what elevation advantages would be gained are lost. The car was only tested on street tires and not drag radials which the car was reported by multiple people to be spinning all the way to 3rd gear. So given those aspects the car in all reality has a ton more to offer than has been show thus far.

Going to need basic weight reduction, drag tire, negative DA, a 100lbs (🥴)driver, and triple layered VHT prep(like the demon had lmao 😂), but that 9.9 is possible 🤔🤓‼️
@@TooManyChoices1 people fail to realize whenever Dodge certified a time they have a guy who does nothing but give the best prepared surface for that certification. Plus they make ever adjustment possible for the fastest run
Ford even stated they didnt want to announce a time and wanted to let the media make the announcement.
@rlrdh10 here it is plan and simple, the car has not been vetted. Ford has not let anyone adjust anything change the tires or anything. I believe theres more in the car then we have seen.

The delta will be closer when you compare them apples to apples. Demon ran 9.6 in killer weathers on a perfect track and it took hundreds of runs to get it. The Ford won't run that quick, but it will go quicker than 10.61. Both are awesome cars.

PIPO I went by predicted weight and how the teaser trailer showed 755 as the mark for HP in the instrument cluster for my prediction.

I remember when people were laughing their asses off when they heard the torque numbers in relation to its weight, some even said this car would never dip below 11's. Ford did it right, i was waiting to see the performance and im impressed !

@@TooManyChoices1... being the car is setup to run on 91 oct for fuel available in Western States it's going to have a conservative tune . Ignition timing/cam timing . . In one of the vids showing the review of the car on its side you can see the neck down in tube diameter of the x-pipe . The fact the 60 ft times were in the upper 1.70's with the best times shows me there's so much more in being able to tune the car with incredible gains just by switching fuels to allow more aggressive ignition timing sooner and E85 does that . I'd like to see what this car is capable of just from max tuning on the factory boost levels ! Lund Racing took a stock '18 GT 10r80 car which ran 11.88 stock and after doing those 3 things E85, DR's , and their tune picked up .6 tenths on the same day to running low 11.20's !

Does the DCT shift as fast as you would expect it to? I ask because it doesn’t sound like any DCT I’ve ever heard before when it shifts. It almost sounds like an automatic shifting in this video. Must be some major torque management or something going on to protect the trans. Or maybe it’s just not sounding the same on video as it does in person. Just sounds like a slow shift compared to most DCTs I’ve heard.

Yusuf Elsayed I think of you read my comment again you’ll see I’m well aware that dual clutches are known to be lightning fast. My concern is that the shifts in this dual clutch sound anything but lightning fast in this video. They sound slow, like a conventional torque convertor automatic’s shifts. Compare how the motor sounds like it dies back in this video to the way a shift sounds in a video of say a McLaren 720 and see if you notice the difference.
Yes it does, and you're likely hearing the exhaust pop on other cars, not the actual transmission. It's lightning fast and Ford has it controlled to not blow the tires off on WOT upshifts. It's perfect. And all that popping that other cars make, which does sound super cool, is fuel and exhaust, it has nothing to do with transmission shifting.

Why would you say "best run of the day”? When in fact it was almost 7 months ago. You guys forgot to white out the date on the time slip that clearly says 3/APR/2019. Check video at the 3:19 mark.
Good eye and I wasn't trying to hide that fact, I tested the car twice, one in Florida and once in Las Vegas. I posted my best run from each test.
