- Hello, today we will introduce how to check the status of the SFP module through the switch
Optical fiber is a thin, soft solid glass material that can be used as a tool for light conduction.
The optical port of the switch is connected to the optical fiber through the SFP module, and then connected to other devices. To ensure the normal communication between the device and the switch, we need to check the working status of the SFP module.
First, power the device on
Second, connect the switch with optical fibers
Finally, connect the switch to the computer with an Ethernet cable
Open a browser, enter the IP address of the switch you want to view,
Take the default IP address 192.168.10.1 as an example
After login page appears
Enter the username and password on the login page
Here we use the demo account to log in
After enter page
The port connection status of the current switch is displayed on the left
Black indicates that the SFP module is inserted but not connected
Blue indicates that the connection is successful
Click the arrow on the right to refresh the current port status
Click Ethernet port on the home page
Then click the port status to check the port status
You can view the operating status on the SFP DDM interface
Ports can be enabled and disabled under DDM options
Temperature degree allows you to view the current and operating temperature ranges
TX power indicates the intensity of the output optical signal
RX power indicates the intensity value of the received optical signal
If the value is not in the normal range, the connection status of the line is abnormal.
You can check the working status of the SFP port by following the above steps.
