been playing for 10 years and never heard of this mod its amazing, I avoid modded play because its overwhelming for me who loved minecraft for its simplicity.
Understandable, Minecraft mode can get mad complex, especially with the factory-like mods (Create, IndustrialCraft, Industrial Foregoing, etc etc) I’ve always liked the complex ones though since figuring out how to use them and solving complex problems/building intricate machines has always been fun for me
I'm actually glad they didn't. I'm glad they have made the game to be as vanilla as possible. They have allowed people to get creative in making their own mods that they seem fit. Adding too much takes away from the game and our creative abilities.
@@troybaxter imo, this isn't taking away from the game. Imo, it adds to it, it's simplistic, and it doesn't give you a ton of options at the beginning, only some blocks to build with. To me, giving people a selection of simple things and allowing them to take those simple things and make something much more complex is what minecraft is about, and is what creativity is.
@@tuxtitan780 I disagree. Mojang's goal should be to give us a base game that we can build off of. Something like this can be made and designed in a variety of different ways, and it is up to the community to figure out what they do and do not want. Just adding stuff to add stuff because it _may_ be cool to use would ultimately bog down the game. Not to mention, overall this mod takes away from the blockiness from the game. Not saying I don't like the mod because I intend to use it with my Create Mod stuff, but I don't see an overall benefit to adding something like this to the Vanilla game. And by the way, this comes from a place of experience. I do a lot of programming for a living (mostly industrial, but currently a bit of gaming), and I can easily see how adding more internal useless clutter can get in the way and cause issues with not just storage but also runtime.
I’d play with Chisel and Bits + Extra Bit Manipulation in my 1.12.2 mod pack for custom armour, but now I’m trying this since I’ve moved to 1.16.5. Thanks!!
Oh man I loved this mod back in the day. I completely forgot about it until you mentioned about creating custom armour and I instantly thought of it lol
@@emryspaperart To further explain that: They use Minecraft's ihnerent Custom model Data which allows you to kind of "overwrite" or specify to use custom textures and even models instead of the base model/textures :)
You’re a lifesaver 😭 - I plan on having my own mythical lore smp one day and I never knew how I could incorporate magical/mythical accessories into the game (I didn’t wanna have like 20,000 different mods 😬)
Well if you ever create one, I hope it goes well! I’d love to play on an smp one day, but sadly idk anyone who owns one rn. Good luck on your adventures!
Dudeee as soon as you showed that first clip I was like "armorer's workshop!" It's so cool to see mention of it randomly cuz you don't usually anymore, and I love that mod. Last time I played with it I made a recreation of the Dishonored 2 Crossbow, and I was so proud of myself. Absolutely adore Armorer's workshop and I 10/10 recommend to try it at least once if you ever have the chance regardless of if you're a good builder, cuz as she said in the video the library for creations is hugeeee
Probably one of the most essential mods for any modpack I make, it also has great compatibility with other mods and so is stupid easy to integrate into any modpack. Genuinely one of the best mods out there
I wish these were available for Bedrock too! I'm making a challenge with my siblings, in pairs of two, about who makes the best, hardest-to-get-to "secret base", in creative ofc. I know a LOT of things when it comes to building and redstone too, but I also like small details, and commands are hard to use. I tried to find a Chisel and Bits mod for Bedrock, but they were just retextured blocks. I tried Dexterity's Chisel mod, but it didn't work for some reason. Other mods include some crazy ads to download, so I can't access them. I wish Java worked on my device. 😢
After watching the short I installed this mod. Unfortunately, it doesn't work properly with Bliss-shader on Fabric for 1.20.1 version. When shader is turned on, all custom items disappear. But as soon as I turn off Bliss, I can see all my custom items displayed on me. That's strange and kinda sad, but the mod itself is smazing. Thank you!
Maybe you could have the transparent bits drape further down to act as a stylish veil Looks awesome regardless tho, definitely checking out this mod now that it's on my radar
If you want a way to do this in vanilla, you can make the model in Blockbench, and then make a resource pack that replaces the carved pumpkin model with some custom model data. Theres a few tutorials around so I recommend looking at those if you want a detailed walkthrough :)
I’ve never used mods (even though I’ve been playing for like, eight years) and I’m still not entirely sure how it works. It’ll definitely be a new learning experience for me :)
I love armourer's workshop, from time to time I combine it with custom NPC's to make some cool little creatures since the max grid for the head is so large you can make almost anything, and also use the wings slot as more accessories
Yeah, considering the latest version available is 1.20.1, there's really no way to use it in my 1.20.4 multiplayer server, yeah? I was surprised by how little documentation and tutorial resources there are for this mod, even including the stuff that's 8~ years old.
As a forager, Im just happy you references a real species of mushroom
Same!! Especially the ink cap since it’s my favorite (and I am not living in the right area to find these easily…)
They are really fascinating mushrooms!
I have a different kind of mushroom. But it's a little small
Oops I thought you meant last name (SpyXFamily)
YES. As a fellow forager, it drives me nuts when people treat it like the only existing mushrooms are fly agaric and baby bella.
That's pretty cool! This is definitely a cool mod!
yep
It's good but you can easily make it with no mods using blockbench and resource packs
if only i knew how to use it
i tried followinh BLag's tutorial, bit hard@@SHQ09Xtreme

I wonder if this is what hermitcraft use. I like the design process a lot, it gives design a Minecrafty twist and feel.
it's not - they use blockbench models on pumpkins

I luv ur content and this is such a helpful mod
I've been struggling with custom armor models without making your own mod, turns out there's a mod specifically for that. Thank you for this!
Armorers workshop was the first mod I literally always thought about and was the reason I got more into minecraft and bought a better computer for it
this is like a simpler figura, much more understandable but with less features
Imma save this for future modding
Literally my favourite mod of all time , love to use it with custom NPC's , but it doesn't work on all versions
