Hindukush - suspension did a great job. Never bottomed out on any of the deep ruts we had to negotiate. I don't have saddle bags. Only a top box. Weigh around 185 lbs with full gear
IstasPumaNevada - definitely a big improvement in grip on fire roads and hard packed trails than the stock OEM tires. As far as comfort, they're a little more firm and noisy than stock.
Looks like a good time.
Nice video Alfred. I'm strongly looking at a x300. Couldn't tell from the picture but we're you mostly in 2nd gear headed uphill. Thanks for posting.
Cool video & great bike. Love the KVX300, most under rated lite weight touring bike at a great price.
Its a KLE300, not kvx. Sorry just being a smartypants
Seemed like it had a bit of torque on it. Was the saddle bags loaded and how much do you weigh. How was the suspension did you bottom out alot?

Hi,I would like to know how you find the seat on the X300 or have you changed it.
It's the only negative thing I've heard about this bike.
Thanks
Bill walsh - that's the only thing about the Versys x300 is the seat. It's pretty hard and gets uncomfortable after about an hour or so of riding
Alfred Saulo Alfred, get a mesh seat cover, they are cheap and they make it much much more comfortable.
Just get the Airhawk R-REVB Cruiser R Seat, Large.
Goru Minosyan how much does that cost? Because the mesh seat cover I'm talking about is just 5 to 6$ and it makes a big difference.
Thanks Alfredo.
How manny temperature bars are you getting riding below 10mph?
chulaida it goes almost all the way and then the fan kicks in especially in this really hot summer we are having in California
ok thanks, i was worrying for no reason, these bikes don't like heat.
With this bike.... Q: how many temperature bars ? A: Yes.
Was it crowded out there ? were people hunting?
ericHi5 - ithere were a few hikers but didn't come across any hunters at all
Alfred Saulo good to know thank you
Did the Shinko tires improve the ride comfort any over the stock tires, in addition to the extra grip on dirt?
Man, I gotta find someone to ride with.

Thank you very much for the reply. The grip I expected, but not an increase in firmness. I'm glad to be informed.
That engine is being tortured at those low rpms.
