In many newer technological fields, IoT, AI, quantum, biotech...; China is still lacking behind America led group but the gap is not big, in some fields China is ahead.
As of now, many countries cannot stand on China side, diplomatically, economically/financially, militarily...
China by itself cannot support the world even it is the biggest trading partner of many countries.
China needs to build up a strong and sustainable alliance to provide viable alternatives, the best, IMO, the merger of BRICS+ and SCO.
At least 5 areas, the gap between Americans led group and the rest of the world is still very big:
      1) pharmaceutical products, especially therapeutic treatment, this gap is the greatest, able to surpass the other gang in 25 years is a great achievement.
      2) aircraft industries.
      3) agriculture; Africa and South America continent can become a major exporter of agricultural goods and not under the control of giant agricultural companies.
      4) software: platform, applications and security.
      5) soft-power: from infant to old age, influence by toys, food, education, entertainment, beauty, media, RELIGION, NGO...
It is time to fight hard, use brutal force forcefully against America lead group, place embargo, if not possible then place sanction or at least counter sanction them.
until the gap is greatly reduced, then only the financial and economic influence, military threats from US of A and western world will be diminished.

My analysis is that the unipolar system enabled Western democracies to steal, exploit or profit from the cheap resources in developing countries and was able to maintain a comparatively relative comfortable life to its citizens. The advent of China coupled with the decline of the US is threatening this system. Therefore I don't see the new system, that is the multipolar world, will serve you (implying you are from the West), however through the creation of civil unrest, it can serve creating a new domestic system. I can see change happening in some European countries as the political landscape is more diverse there, but in the US , I don't see how the Democrats and Republicans will be willing to change their financing system and give up their oligopoly.

That's only half true, and half complete rubbish. The US dollar is a numeriare, it is not a commodity. Foreign nations do not need USD. The financial parasites do (to get their basic income, unearned interest payments from Uncle Sam). All foreign nations could choose to issue tax liabilities in _their own currency_ to drive demand for _their currency._ Most do!! Russia does. China does. Russia and China do not pay their workers in USD, they pay in ruble and renminbi. It's only the rentiers and export oligarchs who desire US dollars, for the basic income --- welfare for the rich thanks to Uncle Sam.
So the foreign demand for US dollars is a choice, there is no need for foreign governments to hoard US Treasuries. Japanese yen are very stable too, and are driving real production.
Russia and China will *_for ever_* have enough to export to keep their exchange rate stable, or stable-ish. Foreign demand cannot drive a sovereign currency to zero, only a coup (or an asteroid hit, or the like) can do that. A fiat currency, like the ruble, or yuan, is backed by tax liabilities, not tax revenue, not exports, not gold, not oil. The government tells you what their fiat currency is worth by how much it pays civil servants and public contractors, and how much it demands for their licenced bank collateral. (But do not expect any textbook economists to understand this, nor Brian's guest Marco, who is clearly using a neoclassical econ mindset, which is trash.)
Oil helps with the exchange rate, but has very little to do with the demand for the currency. The "petrodollar" is a meme, it's bullsh*t. Anyone can buy oil priced in USD with their own currency by using foreign exchange services. That can depreciate your currency a small amount (almost insignificant), but that's neither here nor there if your government issues it's own fiat currency and floats their exchange rate. Your exports pay for your imports. If you do not export oil you can export something else, silicon chips, or avocados, or whatever. Just don't export your democracy, labour or land.

The big question is , are the Europeans ready to fight for they own lifes and future and go for revolution or they gonna stay quiet and do nothing . If they choose to fight and we partially see civil unrests here and there already , what Western leaders are left to do is to go for hot war between Nato and the East ( Russia already is not alone) to create more tension outside to keep control inside Western states . If this go out of control on the other hand , well .Happy seeing you guys , i will go tell some last words to my little best friend between my legs in this case scenario .

@@Achrononmaster , One would beg to differ on that "meaningless." What many people have been witnessing lately in Europe it exactly the direct results from NATO member regimes with the US, where the European regimes that are allied with the US through the NATO are compelled to do what the US dictates them to -- sanctioning Russia in full-spectrum and all-out fashion, while trapping themselves in the energy shortage and skyrocketing inflation, opening up the way for them to "build back better," back to almost stone age -- in time. That is not meaningless by any stretch.
When the relation is strategic partners the parties thereto would not be doing anything stupid and injurious to each's own country. The partners would do only what is constructive and beneficial to both parties' interests.

Brian, you say that territorial integrity and sovereignty are in the UN Charter.
Well, the Russian military intervention doesn’t take away Ukraine’s sovereignty.
Why? Because Ukraine hasn’t been a sovereign country since the 2014 coup. It’s had a US puppet regime since then, with US-backed nazis appointed to positions of power in the military, police & secret police and the major media and political parties that disagree with US imperialism banned soon after the coup.
As for “territorial integrity”, isn’t self-determination also in the UN Charter? Doesn’t the UN Charter allow the people of Crimea, Donetsk, Kherson, Lugansk and Zaporizhzhia to democratically determine their own destinies as independent or to rejoin Russia if they so choose?

nah I don;t think its that much of an issue. The more the western countries especially the US, put pressure on Russia and China, trying to ''contain'' the growth of China, the more China and Russia will be pushed closer together as they will both have a common enemy as they already have which is the west. Both sides benefit from such an alliance and I am sure the key leaders and people in the governments of both countries are very much aware of this. They don't really have any reason not to trust each other or be suspicious of each other. They do have plenty of reasons to be suspicious of the west and the US especially, who want to contain the growth of China and do not want to see Russia rise as a global superpower, as if only the US had the right to be in that position. Every country has the right to grow to their true full potential, American government seems to have made it one of their main goal to prevent any further growth of China and rise as a superpower. Or to contain its rise as a global power, as they like to call it. So I wouldn't worry at all what so ever about any mistrust issues among Russia and China. On the other side, I would worry very much about cracks in the trust and relationship between the US and its partners. Cracks are starting to show and a potential split between NATO and the US look more and more likely to be a real possibility the way things are going.

I feel Vladimir Lenin was wrong when in his one assertion that "socialism is easier to bring about in a bourgeois democracy than in an autocracy."
All socialist revolutions achieved thus far (and ongoing) started off with the ousting of a king or dictator. I'd be willing to say that autocrats entice accelerationism better, but I'm not advocating socialists ascend an autocrat to power to make the material conditions favorable for revolution.
In capitalist democracies, the electorate feels a sense of attachment and accountability to even the lesser of evils they've elected; "Biden's gonna make progressive reforms, just you wait!" Many maintain hope of "rising to the top" or simply remaining independent without "mooching off the government."
Alexis de Tocqueville saw this as far back as 1835 with the publication of Democracy in America. Class divide simply wasn't as aggravating and upfront like in Europe. Again here we see autocracies being better radicalizers than democracies.

@1:05:00 total bullsh*t from Brian. Most of the world abandoned Bretton-Woods in the 1970's, those remaining fixing their exchange rates are fools. If you print your own currency, drive it by tax liabilities (not tax revenue), and float your exchange rate then there is no use for US dollars or for any foreign currency. Not even for your citizens. They can always pay for USD priced goods through abundant foreign exchange desks, including oil, as and when needed. Only totalitarian capital controls can prevent me from buying Saudi or Texas oil with my AUD or NZD or baht, or yen, or yuan,.... So US dollar hegemony is largely a myth, it is real only because people think it is real and hence crave US Treasuries (basic income for people who already have money). Chinese or Russian treasuries are just as stable, if they'd issue them, but again, there is no need for China or Russia to issue state securities, it's basic income for the rich. Who needs that? (That's rhetorical.) Treasury bond issues also are an interest rate maintenance operation, but nothing more, it's not funding their governments.
(Just imagine what'd happen if there were no bond buyers, no auction bidders, and no rich people. Would the government then be unable to mark-up bank accounts? No! That would actually _increase_ their capacity to mark-up bank accounts without inflation pressure. Ergo, rich people do not fund the government.)
Without issuing Treasuries the natural rate of interest goes to zero floor, and banks operate on a spread above the floor, *_always_* so they never care what the floor rate is. The customers are the ones who "see" an interest rate, and so permanent zero is the best, for the poorest customers.
The USA could just stop issuing Treasuries (aka. basic income but only for people who already have money). Cash in a bank term deposit account is as good as holding a US Treasuries, up to $250K it is FDI insured.
Since they issue USD by marking up bank accounts with a computer, Treasuries and tax return do not fund the US government. What creates demand for USD are US tax liabilities, not tax return. In other words, you do not need to tax the rich to fund the government. *_You need to tax the rich to create continual demand for the otherwise worthless currency,_* not to generate supply for the issuer. But when you run out of rich people you keep the tax liabilities in place, because there will always be currency hoarders, bracket creep, and so forth. First though, euthanise those rentiers.

Let's talk about Taiwan. On Ukraine members the military complex are making big bucks on oil prices, LNG natural gas, commodities, investment funds exiting Europe for dollar assets, freezing Russian assets, arms sales to NATO and Ukraine, and they hold big shares in European coal and nuclear energy companies. For Taiwan the big bucks mostly come from arms sales in the region. The Pacific Command consumes a big part of the 800 billion defense budget, arms exports to Japan, S Korea, Australia, Taiwan and a dozen Asian countries; missile up the US island bases; NATO expansion to the East, and new nuke programs in the pipeline. There are other complex elements, for instance the biggest shareholders of Australian banks and media companies are US banks and US companies. There are monies to be made multi-ways. It is possible that both China and the CIA know that China cannot take Taiwan by force. If we take the 2019 Hong Kong protest as a reference, of its 7 million people perhaps 250,000 had gone on to the streets. But it wasn't a normal protest but one under conspiracy for years. In fact it was operationally similar to the 1953 Iran Coup. The CIA bribes newspapers and opposition politicians, hire street thugs to smash shop windows, set some fires, and indiscriminately beat up people on the streets to create public dissent. Perhaps US bankers have high stakes in Hong Kong which is the third finance center in the world after NY and London, that is why they are keen to amass more power in Hong Kong by trying to gain power in its local government. They wanted Hong Kong to be a second Taiwan which already has a US dominated government. The US spent a lot of money and effort to try to achieve that in Hong Kong but failed. However, among the 23 plus million people in Taiwan there could be 10 times or more anti-China activists. Say, after the PLA took Taiwan by force easily, they will not be able to control the population with millions of brainwashed activists. China will need to keep Taiwan's economy going and people's lives. They cannot cut off its media or rule by martial law. Therefore million people protests cannot be avoided, the economy will break, people will die, and China is to be blamed. If this assumption is correct, the US knows it can play the Pelosi card, sail through the Taiwan Strait, and enact some new Taiwan Relation Acts, and there is little China do about them. For the military complex bosses, the more the tension the more the profit. They don't want a real war with China just like with Ukraine but they want unlimited increase in tension. Therefore they will keep constant provocation. Don't forget much of the provocation are actually media propaganda for Americans since they are the ones who pay taxes to fuel the profits and also send their children to the military.

I'm glad I got the chance to hear Halper on Israel's apartheid, but what Red China and Russia do to their own people, not to mention ethnic minorities, is POWERS OF TEN times worse than anything Israel has done. Given the ALLEGED goals of NON-COMMUNIST socialists, I'm even a bit nauseated as a former HHH Democrat why "sincere" socialists would in any way defend Russia's or China's "current management" or even want to LOOK like they're doing so 🤢🤮😥😭🥺😡🤬😬🙄🤐

@@LisaTao Uh, let's see.....count up seven the body count of an evil SOB like Hitler (who was, in any event, a national SOCIALIST) and compare that to Stalin and Mao (Red Fascists) and most normal folks - evidently not you, just the Gjuiness Book of World Records - would say Socialism is both evil and stupid. I'd love to see you concoct a " body count" for the EEEEEVILLLLS of capitalism. As a counter to your wasting time on that, South Korea and North Korea started OUT with the same population. Today, NK has HALF the population of SK. Gee, wonder why? Maybe that Ju Che autarky BULLSHIT combI'm ned with the "wonders" of socialism, resulting in folks in NK eating tree bark. Hey, white folks in the USSR got to eat HJMAN flesh both when Lenin screwed up and had to go back to capitalism, and when Stalin did the Holodamor thing to Ukraine (see Gareth Jones and Malcolm Muggeridge for the good guys, Walter Duranty and the NYT for the Communist stooge side. In the case of the NYT, I guess some things never change, even after 90 years. All the News that's Print to Fit. I'll retire to bedlam.
