  • I got one of these Moerman tools recently. I have never used one of these specialty tools before, aside from a Ettore Backflip-- so I was interested in finding out more. This is a 14 inch model. This has the Liquidator 2.0 channel, the regular fixed Moerman handle and the Fliq microfiber wand. It's been raining, so no better time than to check this out on some mirrors indoors!
I really can see the usefulness of this tool, and there is a job that I believe this will shave off 30-40 minutes on. The Fliq motion and the 45 degree ends take some getting used to, as I am used to the square ended channels like Ettore, etc. I am going to practice and upgrade the handle (and maybe replace the channel with an Ettore brass)-- I am happy to add this tool to my arsenals. I can see how it can allow you to be more efficient in cleaning-- and that's the goal, isn't it? Working smarter, not harder--- working at a good pace, and being efficient. Sounds good to me!

The best scenario is Fliq pad when using on a pole otherwise washer in one hand squeegee in the other.

Hey Polzn Bladz-- I agree with you 100 percent. This tool sits in the truck now, I did not care for the specialty rubbers for Moerman. I adapted the fliq pad and handle to a ettore brass channel with some tape to keep it from slipping-- I don't use it much. Went back to my traditional ways-- BUT, keep it in case I may need it in the future!
I'm more of a straight pole guy, I don't pole much anymore-- maybe some high interiors-- but mainly its nose to glass or a WFP on the exterior. I did however like USING the fliq and the excelerator 2.0 handle on a pole, it did save me a couple ladder trips in the last few months!

Definitely a time saver.....I use the 2.0 with the Unger S Plus Channel for pole work mainly on higher windows...does take some practice "fliqing it" but it has made me some quick money!!! Also great tip on practicing on the mirror at home!

I am going to order the handle this week and I think I have a Unger s Channel sitting around I want to put that on. Yeah man I can see its usefulness-- mirrors are great for practice you can do it anytime at home that's how I learned when I started

Using by hand, the scrubber pad should hang from the bottom. With pole work, the pad should be on the top.

Thanks man. Yeah I have a friend who uses these and he goes "Hey Kenny.....WRONG WAY" ...LOL! I have it figured it out, but to be honest I went back to my Ettore tools-- I can see how these Moerman tools would be useful for and they do great in a pinch! Thanks for the comment Sunriseboy!

@@kdwindowcleaning Yeah, well, listen bud...I've got these two Fliqs and I can still see that I'll end up going back to a straight blade and a fluffy.
The Fliq will be way better for pole work, but time will tell.

  • @pristinewindowcleaning5661

You can put the fliq pad underneath the channel as opposed to over top when using it in the hand. That way you don’t have to hold it back with your finger when squeegeeing. The old over top works best for pole work. Also I noticed you work mainly with stack ladders? I am thinking about getting a set to replace my extension ladders so I can just throw them in the box of my truck. Are they worth it over the extension ladder ? Especially when you cannot adjust 1 foot increments ?

Hey! Yeah I haven't tried to put it underneath-- that is a good tip I will give that a try on the 18 inch version. I want to get a couple more weeks using this and I think i will be up to speed.
Believe it or not, I have only been on an extension ladder a few times in 16 years. One of my window cleaning friends in the area has one, I have to say when I used it -- I really liked the fact it seems very sturdy-- and that you can go higher on the ladder and not lose footing (the sectional ladder has a angled top so it gets narrower on the top rungs as you can see in pictures). Since these are all I have really used, I don't know how to compare-- I did like using his extension ladder, but I learned on these-- every window cleaner I know (other than the guy I mentioned) all used stack ladders.
With the sectionals, you can put them places where extensions can't-- and vice versa with the extension ladders. I am contemplating buying an extension ladder and putting it on the ladder rack in addition to stacks. It would have been a lot cheaper for the initial start up (the 4 stack of sectional ladders run anywhere from 900-1100 dollars, compared to say a 20-24 foot extension ladder for a fraction of the cost) My former employer's sectional set has lasted 20+ years, good as when he bought it in the late 90s!!!

I wouldn’t use any other tool than this, the handle needs to be an excellerator 2.0 which gives you more versatility.moerman have the liquidator 3.0 which is more forgiving no detailing if you get it right add dish soap directly to the pad and washer if you use one use unger green clips to hold the rubber at the ends see tradman channel for tips

I agree. I was just testing it out. I have an excelerator 2.0 handle that I added to it. I can see the pros of this tool, no doubt about it. I have a friend who only uses these, he loves them. To each their own. I always think the best tool for you is the one you are most comfortable with.

Thanks Ben, I am still messing around with the Moerman tools. I go back and forth between them and Ettore
