    thanks for the video, I'm a bit confused though. i saw another video and he had to take the timing belt off to get to the water pump but you didn't have to. How come?

    • @jeepingneatus
      @jeepingneatus  Před rokem

      There is no timing belt on a Land Cruiser. It had a timing chain, which is under the timing cover. At 5:20 in the video, it shows me taking the fan belts off. I hope that helps.

    What's the torque spec on the bolts, n then the nut?

    • @jeepingneatus
      @jeepingneatus  Před 6 měsíci

      I dont recall. I did this job several years ago. I used to have a factory service manual and all the torque specs are in there. I belive you can download one online. That being said....it is a waterpump; you could probably go by feel. Don't strip them out :)

    Hey nice video really helpful, but i did the job (thermostat, thermostat-gasket, water pump with gasket too) but now my 94 land cruiser is making a weird noise really loud like if a belt was slipping but it sounds more where the waterpump-thermostat area is, and obviously and didn’t make this sound before, just after i replaced everything.

    • @jeepingneatus
      @jeepingneatus  Před 2 lety

      Not sure amigo. Isbthe belt actually slipping?

    • @Asco-pt8dp
      @Asco-pt8dp Před 2 lety

      @@jeepingneatus doesn’t seem like it’s slipping, and the sound its only when the engine its cold, try to take some air out from the radiador leaving the cap open up and a lot of bubbles came out but i dont know if it’s something else

      @@Asco-pt8dp hmm, turn the heater on full blast and run it up to temperature to make sure the coolant is flowing and the water pump isn't dry

      @@jeepingneatus good idea, sadly my ac compressor is out :(, i drove it for around 15min and seem fine, i start it up and let it ran for about 20-30m park to see if it will overheat but it didn’t, and the noise goes away when its hot.
