  • On this special episode, Pastor Jack discusses the high calling of our nation's military chaplains with Captain Dennis Wheeler, U.S. Navy Chaplain. Captain Wheeler served 15 years as an enlisted Marine before answering the call to serve in ministry as a military chaplain. He's been a Navy Chaplain for 23 years and is currently serving as the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Chaplain. Do you or someone you know have what it takes to become a military chaplain?

While I'm not sure about "Shield Ministry" and their belief system, I AM sure about your own. You wouldn't be asking for Prayer to be sent where God wants you, if you had an agenda other than being devoted to the Lord. God Bless you my brother, I Pray you are bold, unafraid and successful in bringing Jesus to where EVER you go!

With that being said, our laws in America state we are free and these unconstitutional laws cannot supersede the constitution as it also says that.

After 9/11, my cousin left his large church in Arkansas because he was called to be a chaplain in the Army. He served for six years as a captain and major and did all six years in Iraq and Afghanistan. After one year in service, he was led to go into the special forces unit. He was 34 at the time and that was considered too old, so he had to have special permission. He rose to the challenge and Because he was in shape did quite well through the training. He served his remaining five years in the special forces sector where he was promoted to major after three years. It was a toll on his wife and four children. He came out of the military and went into civilian service with a company.
My brother served in Iraq and was career military. He was Airborne and did behavioral science, including drug and alcohol abuse counseling. He saw a lot, but always took care of those who were suffering in war. I'm very proud of my brother and cousin for ministering to the front lines. Often counselors are not on the front lines and these two guys were.

As a former military member the chaplains defintely played an important role especially to those who were deployed. I remember one briefing before we were returning home the Chaplain had a briefing telling us about how things have changed for some when they go home. I would recognize the sadness and compassion in their voice for this particular chaplain that knew the unfortunate stories that he would hear from military members due to PTSD and unfaithful spouses.

This was so great to hear! My late grandfather was an Army Air Corps Chaplin during WWII. When he left for war my grandmother was pregnant with her 4th child, my Mother. He didn’t get to come home & see her for the 1st time until she was 3 years old! He was so dedicated to those servicemen for those years that he put them above his family. When he came home, he then started a Baptist church in Oklahoma and several years after that he moved the family to Young Arizona, a small town where he started another church there. Since his passing and my grandmother’s and mother’s, I now have all of his sermon notes, Bible, & books in my possession. I’m so thankful for his service for our country & for the his teachings of the Word of God.

    • @melissasmomglam
      @melissasmomglam Před 2 dny +1

God never changes: He answered prayers in the Old Testament without the name of Jesus and he’ll do it again.
It guarantees it if in the name of Jesus but He never said that was the only way. He said if you ask in my son’s name it will be done. He never followed that with it would never be done otherwise or that was the only way. Don’t twist the Bible, thinking you are better than others because you have Jesus. It’s Jesus that grants you salvation- not you. You should share that and not turn up your nose and act like you are better. Regardless, don’t twist scripture. That’s not what it said.

Mal 3:6a you're correct He is unchanging.
Major problem with your argument is that in the Old Testament our Savior was only promised/prophesied and in the New He came, (John 3:16-17).
No one is taking away or adding to His Word but stating what was said in Scripture after He came, (Acts 4:12).

@@user-ps3or8xe6k Not sure what you're trying to say but we know from Scripture that every single name/title of deity used for God the Father also applies to God the Son including the "I AM" statements of God the Father as is the clear doctrine/teaching of Scripture.
Many of them are claimed directly by Him in the New Testament, in His own Words, with prime examples of those claims being throughout the Gospels and the Book of Revelation, that Book would should be understood as the Revelation of Jesus the Christ.
Jesus is simply the English translation of Yeshua ( Hebrew: יֵשׁוּעַ, romanized :Yēšūaʿ‍) was a common alternative form of the name Yehoshua ( Hebrew: יְהוֹשֻׁעַ, romanized :Yəhōšūaʿ, lit. ' Joshua '), the Name of the Messiah or Ha'mashiach in Hebrew.
To the surprise of some, “Christ” is not Jesus’ last name (surname). “Christ” comes from the Greek word Christos, meaning “anointed one” or “chosen one.” This is the Greek equivalent of the Hebrew word Mashiach, or “Messiah.” “Jesus” is the Lord’s human name given to Mary by the angel Gabriel (Luke 1:31). “Christ” is His title, signifying Jesus was sent from God to be a King and Deliverer/Savior (see Daniel 9:25; Isaiah 32:1). “Jesus Christ” means “Jesus the Messiah” or “Jesus the Anointed One.”
I hope that helps clarify things for you.

I served as civilian employee at Camp Lejeune MCB for 32 years. I have great respect for our Marines. My brother and brother in law are retired AForce vets. I love our military all the way back to G Washington. Please pray for them to receive Jesus. Pray for the people in general to accept/depend on Jesus as the US is facing great strife inside our nation as our people are being lied to about the dangers inside our own borders. Look to Almighty God; put Him first!!!

Thank you, Pastor Jack, for this interview. I pray Jesus comes quickly. If we are still here, I pray God transforms America back to the Bible teaching and America history in every school across America in every state. Whoever lived in America must pass the test of the Bible and America history in order to have America citizenship regardless of their ethnicities. Sadly to say, those who come to America take the freedom for granted because they ignore the Bible and America history because the school doesn't teach Bible and America history. That America today is so corrupted.

Not only that, as far as I know, lots of people come from Vietnam and China all they want is to grant money not so much about the freedom this country has I guess they do not understand freedom is not for free. Soldiers sacrifice their life on our life, perhaps so that we can enjoy living in America freely.

Uhm, Pastor Jack, I know you are not a pastorly snob. “Country bumpkin” preachers? Some of the Godliest teachings come from those who were called from the fields, yielded to the Holy Spirit’s guidance and teaching. I am anti-denomination. Born and raised Baptist. Done with man’s teaching and walking in the teachings of the relationship with my Savior through his “grass roots” men.🙌🙌

Of note this day, I’m very concerned for our nation. There’s a reason 7-8 million Jews leave the US and return to Israel. What catastrophe causes the Jews to leave? Antisemitism, natural disasters, economic, war, terrorism or all of the above? I may be wrong but God said He would gather them from all nations.

Please watch Les Feldick. Book 53:1of3 and 1of 4..Also Book 53:2 of 1 and 2 of 2..Also Book 43: 1of 3. And 1 of 4.. people refuse to understand there Bible. Watch these and learn more than you've learned in your entire life. Guaranteed!! The Bible is not in croniligical order. Many pastors of 40 and 50 yrs, have watched and said how did I miss it. Will God forgive me from leading all those people to a Devils Hell. This is why rightly dividing scripture is so important. Why 2nd Timothy 2:15. Said study to show thyself approved a workman not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth!! Many preachers think they know, then find out they missed it!! PLEASE WATCH THESE AND DECIDE FOR YOURSELF!! This age of Grace is running out folks!! Also Book 71 and book 73: I beg you watch these. God won't except any excuses. Please watch see for yourself!!

I think it’s one of those sensitivity things. Not saying it’s right but I’ll give you an example. My dad was a believer in Jesus and a funeral home director. He had to read the room. Some non believers were open to spiritual guidance and some were adamant in no spiritual influences. Had he miss judged the situation he would be casting his pearls before swine and souring the “moment”. That being said I’m sure there were missed opportunities in his 30 plus years of being a mortician because of being sensitive.
Also sometimes it can be ones upbringing influencing their prayer style. I had a pastor that only prayed to Jesus. In the years I knew him I honestly don’t think he put God in his prayers once or acknowledged the Holy Spirit. I was a teen so maybe he did but I certainly remember thinking “man he speaks a lot of Jesus but what of the rest?” I was 16 at the time.

Agree…. Pastor Jack is giving him a lot of grace but the DOD is pushing a political correct Christianity in the military. I saw with my own eyes in the Marine Corps.

Sadly he is wrong. Our pastors, one for certain got hammered and he should have known about it, unless he was one of the ones who didn't stand up for him. He has passed away now, but the military was horrible to him.

WHY IS IT THAT HE CAN'T MENTION THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES "JESUS "? YOU DON'T WANT TO OFFEND LGBTQ AUDIENCE? SHAME ON YOU! WHAT FEAR DO YOU HAVE? NOTHING OR NOONE I DONT CARE WHO THEY ARE OR WHERE THEY ARE FROM OR WHO THEY'RE AFFILIATED WITH! THE LORD SAID, IF YOU ALDENY ME THAN I WILL DENY YOU BEFORE MY FATHER!! WE NEED TO BE BOLD,STRONG AND NOT BE AFRAID! JESUS IS WHAT THOSE PEOPLE NEED!!
