Exacatly my thoughts.Nicolini is just boring to watch as all she seems to do is try all the time to take down her opponent. Then most times ends up underneath anyway! She never threw a decent punch all through the fight. And at one time it looked like they were trying to have sex standing up. The ref should have stopped this nonsense immediately. Made a farce of the whole fight!
Xiong had loads of chances to take Nicolini out but did not follow up- Why? Needs investigating.

The speed, strength, fighting style is same as a pro man's, she can beat men, or she drank alot of caffeine because that's how i am on caffeine, jittery and keep moving.

A brasileira é excelente no Jiujitsu, e bem resistente, mas a chinesa está em outro nível técnico. Primeiro, que a Xiong tem uma boa base no Sanda, outra, que é especialista no boxe, fora o anti jogo no Jiujitsu.
Vejo ela muito forte no grepling mas finalização e transições de jiu-jitsu tá fraco e a trocação tá bem ruim

Nicolini is not a striker as opposed to the asian girl. But a good grappler. She also has a weak chin. She needs to work on these 2 areas, chin and strike.

This fight is very boring. Nicolini's technical level for MMA is low, she can't block any punches and doesn't know how to punch or kick, she only knew how to jump at Nan's feet and there were several in the void.

Does anyone have any context on the matchmakers logic on choosing Nicolini? Shes is a very accomplished athlete but seems this match was only a money grab for her, didn’t bother on considering gameplan B if the direct takedown attempts didn’t work, some where even cringy

If this fight was actually the woman’s straw weight championship then I surely despair! Linolini never threw a decent punch all through the match. Xiong looked like she was holding back most of the time and not aggressive as in her other fights! Nicolini spent most of the fight on her back on the floor. Something wrong here. Looked as thought it could have been staged! Xiong had many chances to follow up when Linolini was on the floor and finish it but did not take them! WHY?? Something not right here.I’m sure that many others who watched this fight would feel the same as I.Nicolini’s performance was pathetic to say the least. I lost count of how many times she ended up on her back squirming around like a upturned tortoise! What a farce!!
Well.. its a difficult fight to understand if you don't do grappling and MMA. If you are against far superior grappler, you sometimes don't want to stay on the ground even if its ground and pound position for you. Most MMA people don't have very good leg lock defence and they are very dangerous. Even more so in Womens MMA, since its harder for women to generate punches strong enough for knockout(There were still couple of guys going for heel hooks in male MMA). Michelle tried to wrestle but it didn't work out very well and striking would be a suicide, so she decided to pretty much pull guard/sit on the floor, hoping her opponent would either accept groundgame in top position or manage to hold her from the bottom and get a leglock, tringle, sweep or something like that.
