After the keys at the end of the fourth round, I think Angela felt that there was no way to beat her rival, you can see that on the fifth round she came out with another face.
Angela's submission attempt on the 4th actually worked to her disadvantage because it left her out of gas and out of strength. Xiong only had to unleash a couple strikes after that, Angela showed no defensive ability with her striking. Xiong a real champ because she never tapped out

This time the so-named ‘Unstoppable’ was stopped - good and proper!! The Ref should have let it go a little longer though as Lee was still standing! I wonder if he would have stepped in so quick if it had been Xiong taking the beating instead of Lee? I doubt it.
@@chaolongkeys then let go of the belt. Holding up a division is never good. I dunno if their contracts allow maternity leaves. If it does, it shouldn't be at the expense of holding up a division.

Angela obviously didn't want that, she answered pretty aggressive and out of context.

@@bbigrocker1 yeah, and I feel like she could work on the strength behind them. There have been a couple fights I’ve seen where a bit more strength behind the punches would have gotten her further. That’s just my opinion though.

Angela gave up when she was sitting on the chair before the 5th round; you could clearly see it in her face. Very disappointing that she just didn't have the heart to push on.
I am confused were did she give up at. She still step back into the ring in still tried to fight. She did not tap out or say she wanted to quit she went out there with everything she had. And even if she wanted to quit she still went out there to finish as strong as she could.
Xiong survived 2 simultaneous submissions when 99% would've tapped almost immediately. The arm bar was bad enough, but she was also being choked pretty badly. I've never seen someone shake off such punishment (Xiong admitted in an interview that the arm bar made her right elbow completely numb and she couldn't throw power punches... I think if Angela conserved her energy better she might've had a chance due to the right hands being weaker after the bar) My theory is that on top of the exhaustion, Angela felt like Xiong was unbreakable and that would make anyone feel hopeless.
Lee was completely fried in the fifth. She put all she had in that armbar in the 4th,and was basically a punching bag at the end.That chinese chick is TOUGH though.
That girlbin green actually tapped 2 or even 3 times.. look at time remaining between 1:55 down to around 1:40 or so.. watch her left hand tap with trisngle & arm bar locked in from Angela...
A fantastic war between two great world champions, Angela gave her all but Jing Nan was just to strong in the end. Respect to both warriors.
