2 seconds into the video and I already learned that a xenomorph appeared in nightmare on elm street 3
It's not, I've seen both movies, that clip was from Aliens (Alien 2)
fr though they didn't make it more than 2 seconds.
@@Gain-Orange someone doesn't understand sarcasm
How was I supposed to know he was joking? Don't be a jerk dude
😅😅😅😅
Who can forget about the scene in Dream Warriors where Freddy Krueger shifted into a Xenomorph and killed the pilot in her dreams.
Best scene ever! ....listen, we made a bad.
Hellbound: Hellraiser II belongs. It's a great insight into the Cenobites and their realm, while being as nasty as the first.
Definitely. Should've replaced Halloween (2018) on the list. Personally, I found all three recent Halloween films garbage.
To this day, the opening chase scene of 28 Weeks Later never fails to scare the crap out of me
Fun fact: during the filming of Aliens, sigourney Weaver tried to avoid the set when the alien queen puppet was not in character in order to stay scared of it and get a better performance out of herself.
That's interesting and pretty cool
@@Reaperguy67 yes,really interesting fact
Honestly she does it well though Ripley is the ultimate badass here with that famous line in the power suit. Stan Winston’s effects were awesome as he and his studio could always do
Common method in cinema. Directors usually call it. My favorite callback is The Dark Knight. Maggie said her fear in the dinner scene was real because that was the first time she saw Heath in full makeup and costume
Additionally, in Alien 4 Sigourney Weaver didn’t go into the set where all the Riley/Xenomorph hybrids were until it was time to film the scene. The special effects people who did the work specifically invited her, but she wanted the director to be able to get her visceral reaction. The original Alien movie did this same thing with the whole cast and the chest buster.
I just love that scene in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 when the xenomorph showed up. CBG from Simpsons even raved "best crossover evuh"
😂😂😂😂
The beginning clip wasn’t Dream Warriors. It was Aliens
I was just about to say that.
@@Supasmartguy I came to see if anyone had already said it
Some poor overworked video editor about to get chewed out for this 😭
At least they didn’t call it Alien 2 😂
Thanks for the clarification
Horror is crazy. Life is crazy. Horror is life. Life is horror.
😂
I'm glad that Nightmare on Elm Street 3 is on the list. It's the Terminator 2 of Horror Films. 😅
Well, I don’t care for Elm Street 3. I only like the original and New Nightmare. Also, I like Terminator 1 more than 2.
To me that's a massive stretch, but A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 is indeed pretty good
How are Child's Play 2 and Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 not on this list?!
because Watchmojo doesn't know much about horror, or GOOD horror, hence those are missing, they put halloween 2018, conjuring 2 on the list. 1 of which isn;t a sequel.
Dr. Sleep was amazing Rose the hat is scary af
The scene with Jacob Tremblay’s Trevor scared the daylights out of me. Knowing the older cast were more scared than he actually was shows that they wanted to keep the youngster safe off-set
@@LucyLioness100 I cannot watch that whole scene the way he screams and begs is just to much for me
That show was too horrific! Watching a child being slowly stabbed to death is crossing the line!
I'm surprised that Terrifier 2 isn't on the list considering how much of an improvement it was from the first film
Psycho 2 is hella underrated
Agreed. Psycho 2 is far better than it has any right to be.
I like that movie quite a bit. You can see Perkins grow into the part and evoke even more sympathy as Norman is actually a decent guy now trying to be a normal citizen, but gets shoved back over the edge into his former self due to a vindictive woman
You played a clip from aliens yet labeled it as a nightmare on elm street 3
Yup we know, thanks.
Awesome list 👌🖤
Child's play 2 should be there
Do Top 20 WORST Horror Movie Sequels next!
Seems WatchMojo and I remember A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors EXTREMELY differently.
good list 🙌👍
Finally after Years I have been waiting for Watchmojo making this video. Cuz I remember like either 5 or 8 years ago Watchmojo made a video called the Top 10 Worst Horror Movie Sequels, and I been begging for the Top 10 Best Horror Movie Sequels 🙏
Hi Kirsten have a great day and love your voice 😍
The original scream is actually such an elite film
"What's Your Favorite Scary Movie?”
Scream 1 is still my favorite in the series
I can't watch the movie anymore because of Skeet Ulrich. The guy is god awful in real life. He only dates girls/women until they reach 35. After that, he moves on to the next girl/woman. He is a disgusting human being.
Scream series is such a great cult film
Great choices!😊Scream 2,Exorcist III,Dr Sleep,28 Days Later,Evil Day 2. Aliens deserving number 1! It's fantastic! Haven't seen some of these. Great video😀
Doctor sleep is my absolute favorite horror movie. Glad it made the list!
This is my hill, and I will die on it. Evil Dead 2 is not a sequel, it's a remake.
28 weeks later is gas never have zombies felt so fast and just destructive they had a real screen presence I just remember that movie blowing my mind
Howwwww is Saw X only an honorable mention!?
It about time watchmojo did this video. I've been requesting a video like this since 2014.
But you joined 1 year ago.
@@RiverCalebEchiverri2 Why do you care? Mind your own businss.
Worth mentioning:
It Chapter 2,
Zombieland: Double Tap,
VHS 2,
The Final Destination,
Paranormal Activity 3
some great choices, loved all of these sequels.
Great call on “Bride Of Frankenstein’.
There are some Notable Horror Sequels MISSING from this list, WatchMojo!!! This should have been a Top 25 List:
Notable Sequels Missing: Child's Play 2, Hellraiser 2: Hellbound, Phantasm 2, The Devil's Rejects, Scream 5 or 6 (to replace Scream 2), Final Destination 2 or 5, Gremlins 2, 10 Cloverfield Lane, and Psycho 2!!!
I am happy that The Exorcist 3 is getting some recognition!!
No. Scream 2 is WAY better than 5 and 6. Scream 2 is my favorite sequel of the Scream sequels. Plus 6 was a terrible remake of Scream 2. And all 5 and 6 make me want to do is re-watch the first three movies. Too much “hey, remember this?” They spend too much time on nostalgia that it’s better to just go watch the movies they are making references and stuff too. Plus the first three movies had WAY better characters. 5 and 6 were garbage. They are the only Scream movies I don’t own. Actually, that TV show was better than 5 and 6.
The Devil's Rejects is vastly superior to... well, everything else Rob Zombie has directed, House of 1000 Corpses included.
We've all had Evil Dead 2 laugh a lot nights after a few beers 😅😅
I love Doctor Sleep, thanks for showing it some love. The baseball scene was horrific and I read the book where it was a lot worse.
Yeah I read it too, but the film did do that scene well without being overly gory. The performances are what sell the horror
@@LucyLioness100 I agree. I read that the actor playing the baseball boy had a blast but the adults were having a hard time filming it. Still, I had to watch partially through my fingers because I wasn’t sure how much they would show. That was one of the hardest reads I had in a Stephen King book and that says a lot.
With Ellen Ripley as a true hero, as _Aliens_ showed, it’s anything but game over.
Hellraiser *II* 😈
that one was really good when it comes to some of the parts of it. judgement was crazy as well
@@Reaperguy67 TBH - I prefer the sequel over the original one 🤷
@@Aragorn7884 I see why . The make-up and set design is what made me enjoy them.
Thanks for FT13 Part 6 as an Honorable Mention. It's a very "meta" entry in the series.
Friday the 13th Part VI, but not part IV: The Final Chapter?!
Damn good list! But I'd add Friday the 13th The Final Chapter. I mean, the Crispin Glover dance ALONE makes it one of the best MOVIES ever!😂
Oh that dance is so freaking weird and makes me laugh my ass off
Scream sequels are such a blessing!!
The third film is still bad though, but honestly the sixth film nearly eclipsed it as worse
Top 30 Classic Horror Movies
Good idea. Probably see the first. Hellriser movie on that list. It came out in the 80s
🥉
@@BlackHatCinephile nobody asked for your spam
Hello, Mary Lou! Prom Night 2 is tremendous and criminally underrated. 💯
That movie is so stupid that I laughed at it 😂 but props to the bonkers plot
One of my all-time favorite films is number one! 😀Seeing it on opening day in New Orleans in a packed Joy Theater was a blast!!
Wow. I’ve seen Dream Warriors dozens of times, but I never saw the version where Freddy becomes a xenomorph!!
Damn is that a directors cut of Nightmare on Elm Street 3 or something?! Need to see that ASAP
Lol I'm confused about the Doctor Sleep part of this video... Other than skipping out some filler from the novel and changing the ending to fit the Kubrick film, the film followed the book pretty spot on.
Ah yes, the xenomorph attack nightmare scene from A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.

I really hope the Exorcist 3 is on this list lol
SAW 2 - it Capitalized on SAW with more Traps, Victims, & Laid the groundwork for more sequels.
Saw X
@@AL3X1KUS That's a Prequel.
Wish I'd "Saw" the entire film series
After Top Gun Maverick & Terminator 2, Saw 2 is in general the best sequel of all time on.
If we wouldn't have Maverick & T2, Saw 2 would be even number 1.
@@user-em6ie2be7x well saw x is basically a sequel to the first one before the second one
What movie is the splash screen from?
I’m going to say as much as I love the first Hellraiser movie I think its sequel is actually a lot better and belongs on this list. With that said I do believe that there could have been some more movies mentioned here but these are some great ones.
Am I the only one who prefers Alien over Aliens? Aliens is great, don’t get me wrong. I just like the claustrophobic vibe from Alien.
Agree. The tension rocks.
Aliens is a great movie and sequel but yes Alien is the better movie of the two in my personal opinion because the tension, atmosphere, and tone are what makes Alien the better of the two films as far as I’m concerned.
Aliens is much more quotable and rewatchable. The long cut is my favorite. I like alien. I actually watch resurrection the most for the last 20 years because it’s the best looking and it has swimming aliens. I really like them swimming. I was admittedly annoyed w/ it when it first came out.
Me too. It's my favourite sci-fi horror.
It's not weird at all. Alien is more horror while aliens is more action. Both are awesome
Fright Night 2 should have been mentioned ;)
Friday the 13th 2 and 4, Saw 3-6, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Beginning, Curse of Chucky, Unfriended Dark Web
Great to see a man of culture.
Make a top 25 4k bluray please.
Doctor Sleep is so damn good.
The jump scare I got from Exorcist 3 has me messed up til this day, and that was when it first premiered!! Best one hands down!
It’s subtle, but so good
I've only seen 28 Weeks Later, Halloween, Scream 2, Doctor Sleep, Evil Dead ll, Dawn Of The Dead, A Quiet Place Part ll, The Conjuring ll and Aliens.
What movie is the thumbnail from?
Doctor Sleep is very good. I watched it for Ewan but stayed for the plot.
The Never ending story 2. It was horrific. Gives me nightmares 30 years later.
Final Destination 2 should've been on here!
I’ve seen them all and hate every one. Somehow they just screw it up and suck.
I remember that scene in the thumbnail.. all hope left my body..
Final destination 2, VHS 2, rec 2, and hellraser 2 are also great sequels
Insidious 2!
How is Child’s Play 2 not anywhere in this video?
The factory chase at the end is one of the best sequences in any horror movie.
I liked Halloween 2018
I loved the 2018 requel to Halloween.
Dawn of the Dead was the movie my husband and I watched on our first date in 1983. Been married almost 40 years. Coincidence? I think not.
The Opening clip is from an "Aliens" movie not an "A Nightmare on Elm Street" movie. And I should know, I have seen ever movie in the "A Nightmare on Elm Street" Franchise.
Y’all video editors been f****** up lately 🤣🤣🤣
love the Saws
Freddy vs Alien, the crossover we never knew we needed.
Dr Sleep creeps me out cause they're basically vaping kids😂
R u kidding me
AARP Michael Myers with thinest premise possible
That makes me want to Watch ALL OF THEM!
You mean rewatch.
You forgot about the Insidious 2 I guess.
And I just realised I still haven’t watched saw x stopped the video instantly to go watch it!
A nightmare on elm street 3, Dream Warrior's is my favorite horror sequel of all time. ❤️
Never figired Heath Ledger most likely got his "look at me" from Exorcist 3
28 weeks later was different a great sequel all though it had a more main stream look and feel to it.
I'd have Hellraiser 2.
Aliens on Elm Street 3
*Aliens
When was Dawn Of The Dead a sequel to Night Of The Living Dead?
Exorcist III FTW!!!!!! As well, I'd put Halloween 3 way ahead of Halloween (2018), even though it's a sequel to the Myers films in name only.
that has to be a world record for shortest attention span of a video editor
Evil Dead 2. Is the best sequel in all of horror moviedom
Undoing the happy ending of Aliens for the third Alien movie was a terrible mistake. Many people reacted the way I did: "Newt's dead? That's it, I'm done with this."
I think we all agree that was an idiotic move by the studio. Although technically Hicks didn’t die as Michael Biehn and other creatives later revealed; it was another random character
Psycho 2 deserved some love.
Aliens is really amazing sci fi horror we all love to watch
Dream warriors is my favorite nightmare
How is Psycho II not here
I like scream 2
Definitely missed the devils rejects, that movie was amazing.
I’ve got to say I never considered that a horror movie. If I did I’d have consider lots of things like ichi the killer a horror film and it absolutely is not.
TCM2 (1986) is among my favorite horror films. While the original is a gold-standard horror movie, I like the sequel more.
I loved TCM2. it was a very fun sequel.
Surprised terrifier 2 didn't make the cut.
I love Horror movies, I love both original and sequels
What's that movie in the thumbnail with those weird looking eyes?
Descent 2 ✌
