    Just did a timing belt/waterpump/thermostat on my Prado this weekend. Bloody tough job but totally worth it for the learning experience! Trick with getting the belt on - use 3 people, lever the top 2 pullies inwards with the belt in proper place while the third person fits the middle top pulley in to tension the belt.

  • @jayarre1839
    @jayarre1839 Před 3 lety +1

    gear driven is the go 👌🏼 i personally think tds are set up way neater and easier to work on than toyota’s. water pump and thermostat is so easy to get to. 80 wants some more boost, 420° is a fair bit for that amount of boost. 15-17 psi would be the sweet spot

    Put some split conduit over your egt sensor cable because if you wash your engine bay and the cable get water onto it, (if there like mine) they will just screw with continuity and when you set buzzers it will set if off

    Love the rock sliders. Good move IMHO.
    Some questions for Legendex:
    Why don't you extend them out to match the outer edge of the wheels front and back? I guess longer the cross braces will flex, which in itself is not a bad thing providing the welding is of good quality and the steel tube is not rubbish, which I'm fairly confident is not the case.
