Would love to have a go at this with a strong magnet or rotating magnetic field. Lockpicking Lawyer has a field day with this sort of electronic gadgets, and you should not be afraid to learn from him if you want to deliver a secure product.

completely keyless? In the event of a defect, it is not possible to open the door from the outside. 😣

You will need the code. But to be honest. Bluetooth is not very reliable as i noticed with my Nuki. Removed that auto unlock feature. Sometimes you will be waiting very long or when you enter with your key it opens your lock late when your allready inside. With Nuki there is always a key and thus more foolproof for the family

What if battery runs empty while you are away?

You can use a 9V battery to activate the keypad and enter the pincode to open the door

I miss how you let cleaning ladies and guests in when you’re not there (on a one time basis)

Hey Kirsty, funny that you mention it, I just covered this on my most recent video -> czcams.com/video/t83kLeVoiLo/video.html. It takes a couple of Flows, but it's pretty simple to give guests access to Homey at certain times / dates.

"When the last person leaves the house it 'll automatically lock".. thats great if geofencing worked proper on android

Hey W Otter, we are aware of some issues relating to Geofencing on Androids, and we are working on some solutions. In the meantime, you can always use widgets to quickly change your status, or (currently recording a video on it) using your smart assistants to set your Home / Away status.

@@homey I'm not getting into the whole android/iOs discussion but fair point however that doesn't change the fact it still doesn't wotk properly.
Why not give the option to use wifi to detect the location. "Home is where the wifi automatically connects"

Way too complicated, far easier just to have a biometric door lock using your fingerprints! 😂
