My uber riders like the backseat too. I have the sport model and the maximal is 100% a basic sedan compared to the sportiness of a q50 sport. They are real sports cars. Not imitations. Perfectly! It has had its problems but has been a dependable vehicle for it to last 254,000 miles. It died last week and now needs repairs of about $1,000 to $1,500 to be road worthy again. Now I am wondering if to donate it or fix it. At this age and mileage, it has sentimental value to me. So, I may pay to get it fixed. Or buy a used 2018 or 2019 with less than 30,000 miles for a maximum of $25,000 drive out.

I have an SR. The sport mode is awesome. The car feels glued to the road, and heavy. Be careful. This isn't a true sports car. This is a 4 door sedan with some kick in a straight line. Over steering is possible. I know this from experience. I will never buy another Nissan though. CVT transmission is cheap. Step on the gas, and the steering is rubbery. Paddle shifting with a CVT is laughable. Completely useless. Modern Nissan quality is inferior to it's past cars. My next car is a Porsche 911 Turbo

Another thing...give the " S" model side indicator signal lights on the side mirrors...unacceptable that a $34,000 car still doesn't have them, and it looks flat out cheap.

The CVT of my 2014 Altima SL has been a jerk since this winter, but right now it is ok with the increase of the temperature. I like Nissan cars with more convenient functions and technologies, but they should know that this CVT is continuously destroying this brand, furthermore, some Infiniti also suffer from this CVT.

  • @romulas-cushmanproject3273

The maxima needed (needs) one of the following (and work with new Nissan’s and other new cars so I now how they are)
    • Have available AWD the Altima and the Infiniti built on the same body as the maxima both have AWD why not this
    • Like everyone and their mother had said the JACTO CVT needs to go, a 7 speed duel clutch transmission perhaps
    • Give the VQ a power bump it’s been at 300 in the maxima since the new model a few years ago, maybe SR and up should get like 320
1:04 it is time to retire that key fob it’s been the only push button key fob both Infiniti and Nissan has ever used while Acura and Honda has gone through like 3 different designs
    • This last one is a personal complaint but can you please decide where the SR trims sits in between the Altima has it in between the s and SV, the Sentra has it has it between the Sv and SL, now this has it in between the SL and platinum

Hello Nissan, I love Nissan Maxima but I don’t like some features like no RWD platform and CVT trans. In this price point and as a proper 4DSC this car should be a RWD platform with 8 speed automatic transmission or dual clutch transmission. So please care about that and most importantly focus on reliability and dependability like Toyota.
