This is the saddest part in life. I took a long term loan and borrowed in other sources to facilitate my mother's medication, she died two months later, I have to pay the loans for many years to come😢. RIP MUM.

Before the person died,drugs were used plus other consumables, specialists were called to review the patient,we are not justified to curse the hospital,what they are requesting is their dues.We are living in hard economical times,too much corruption that has crippled our health sector
Will the dead body help the hospital to collect it's expenses, the law doesn't allow to detain dead bodies, there are many other ways hospital administrations should come up with on how to solve the bill issues rather than detain detain dead bodies
The hospital is insured incase of such incident. Holding the dead body will benefit no one .

I know of someone that had to make an arrangement with the hospital to pay a certain amount each month after the hospital agreed to release her son's body for the funeral.
She pays the money each month but surely some of these debts should be waived.

I'm thinking there should be a small portion in health insurance or hospital consultation fee set aside. This is to cater for settlement of bills in case a person dies and their family cannot afford.
