Flywoo Explorer LR 4 Long Range FPV Drone - Fly Almost Anywhere!

- The Flywoo LR 4 Explorer is a sub 250 gram FPV quadcopter with a great power to weight ratio and range to spare. With the DJI O3 Air Unit FPV transmissions system, this tiny drone can go just about anywhere! While it's not specifically a freestyle quad, it's agile and you can pull some tricks with it. And while it's not a racing drone, it's fast and can keep up with many things that you would want to chase. And while it can't really carry an external camera, the DJI O3 Air Unit with Rocksteady stabilization gives a good, well stabilized, quality image straight off the onboard camera!
I'm all about 4S FPV quads that can be flown in my back yard and this one is definitely a winner in that category.
Flywoo also released a set of ND filters to go on the DJI O3 Air Unit. When you add these to the camera of the Flywoo LR 4, you get that smooth motion blur that looks like it was taken on a higher end camera!

The GPS on this also will take the quad back to its general take-off area if Rescue mode is activated. Which is crucial if you lose connection to the controller or lose video. If it is running betaflight 4.4.1 or 4.4, it can even self-land around where ever it took off.

I have the analog V2 version and absolutely love it. I actually get great video quality with the Ratel 2 camera although I do have an extra Walksnail Pro camera system. I might upgrade to that at some point but enjoying analog for now.
Regardless of the VTX, it’s just a fun little quad to fly!

I have this exact drone sitting on my bench and I just need you to make that o3 setup video so I can properly set it up! Instructions on BF4.4 with this would be so helpful if you could, particularly for the new gps RTH function introduced.

@ReadySeyDrone - are you using that grey fpv remote a lot with the O3 unit? I keep getting very random RX Loss messages and failsafes. I’m in the USA and max 200yards from myself when it happens. I don’t fly further anymore cause of this haha. Curious if you have had it happen at all? I had it happen on the cinebot30, cinelog20, and babyhawk. Everything was on the latest updates too. I went out and bought a boxer elrs remote and about to make a switch. Just curious if others have seen this issue. Great review! The flywoo might be might first with elrs :).
Hey Josh. I have had no range / failsafe issues with the grey remote and O3. I just purchased the boxer as well, to be able to try out ELRS and have the option to install a crossfire module.
Flying with DJI's controller has been very convenient, but I think it's probably a good idea to have the control link separate from the DJI system.
Hopefully your failsafe problems will be solved with your new boxer radio.

It doesn’t seem that bad anymore, I think anyone trying it now is really lucky to avoid the beginning days of that system as it wasn’t user friendly 1 bit. I only buy BNF drones and emax looks like they are only doing pnp and elrs anymore (cinehawk) I really want the O3 Babyhawk when it comes out and if it’s only gonna be elrs, I guess I’m learning it :).
is it substantial quiter than like a 5 inch freestyle nazgul evoque? because than i would maybe consider this one over the 5 inch

cool.. what is your complete set up here, especially the controller? would the controller of choice would matter the range? would plan to use to get a shoot of mountains as well...
I mostly use the DJI FPV 2 controller. It's simple to set up and I like the "video game" style. However, I just bought a Radiomaster Boxer and I'm liking that too. It works with ELRS, which si supposed to give you longer ranger.
hi whats the difference to a dji mini 3 pro? is it more quiet than a dji mini 3 pro? also, can you add an additional second camera on it? is the software of the drone open source?
The DJI Mini 3 Pro is a camera drone. This one is a FPV drone. Different animals. The only camera you could add to this might be the Insta360 GO - but you really don't need it. The built in camera is pretty amazing.

Can this drone be flown indoors?
Yes, it's possible, but since it has no propeller guards, it's not recommended.
I thought the arrow was for wind direction so that you can control the drone better.😂😂

I'm torn. I don't need a drone, but I kinda want one to check my house roof and my property. I have like 10 acres of land that I look after. It would be nice to check out the property without having to drive all the way around it.

Everybody who bought the Vista / Analog version like me now feels ripped off.
I never even flew mine because it used a weird 3s battery.

A lot of people know what the Avata sounds like, so it provided a great reference point and really shows how quiet the flywoo quad is!
