2016 f150 3.5 eco starts perfectly fine. Drives fine powerful. But As soon as I enter key into ignition I think it’s fuel pump making ticking noise for like 7 seconds . Then I start with no issue . What could it be?
I know this is a year late, but that blue clip comes with the line, however, you can find it on a standalone connector and replace it. Search for DORMAN 800-623. I broke one too, but it broke in such a way that it was still usable. Just so you know, you are supposed to unclip it and bend it up to slide it down.
Putting a wrench on the crankshaft pulley and turn it. You can also turn it over by starting the truck. But make sure you catch the petrol spraying out of fuel line!
Would a code P0001 possibly relate to same part being bad? Same symptoms, loss of power but throwing code above, tried to test ohmns on pump sensor but couldn’t seem to get correct reading Thanks!
Sorry for my late reply. It could also be the pump in the tank. But that can be eliminated by checking live data with the code read tool. If that pump gives good pressure its 90% of the time this pressure pump
Just purchased 2013 f150 XLT ecoboost 139000 miles on it. Got the bumper to bumper warranty for 3 yrs. Good thing, because it's in the shop with fuel pressure issues 🙆. Barely drove it 50 miles and this happens. My gut instinct says it will be fine and consider it a blessing that if anything goes wrong over the next 3 years it won't cost me to fix it. What do you think?
Some advice... Do frequent oil changes with motorcraft oil and filter. Do spark plugs every 30k, transmissions every 35k. My throttle body fried out at 126k, was only $200 from dealer. Clean or replace maf sensors, if you get exhaust leaks at the the manifolds opt for the full bore polished CR Performance set from Canada. I run a hypertech Max Energy tuner also. Very very awesome engine if the necessary upgrades or preventative maintenance is done correctly. I only had 1 check engine light and I am very hard on my truck, lots of high temps and lots of heavy loads and 4wheeling.
Yeah love my truck but at 125k I have had a 4 grand timing chain done rear axles seals 800 throttle body failed left me on side of road think that was 200 all covered under the warranty I bought thank God but it's getting annoying my 99 f350 has been running and working harder the whole time I had this truck and it hasn't stopped
I got a code p00C6 2018 F150 3.5 ecoboost it did it to me today when I started the truck just like yours then on the road I slowed down to make a turn and I got a lag on the gas pedal ??
Sorry for my late reply, but that means that your fuel pressure is too low. It could probably be the high pressure pump, but you first need to check the fuel pressure from the pump inside the fuel tank. I bet it one of those pumps!
I am about to attempt cleaning, or replacing if necessary, the front VVT solenoid on a 2015 Explorer. I forgot where I saw it but I read that the bolts for the high pressure pump cannot be reused, that they must be replaced. Is there any truth to that or is it just Ford trying to squeeze as much money as possible out of their customers?
@@AbsoluteRebuilds LOL! When I bought it, it was getting 12 mpg so I went to a farm to market road and stomped on it and she coughed and sputtered and the check engine light came on for about five seconds but right after that it went to 15 mpg. I went ahead and changed the plugs and they were bad and I got some mass air flow cleaner and did that and also ran some good fuel injector cleaner through it and that got the truck up to 16 mpg average, but that is as good as it gets. She runs like a bat out of hell though! I had a Ram 1500 and this truck would easily smoke that one.
@@SpicyRok7482 same, I keep getting a wrench light and it goes into limp mode with no code, gave it a tune up, changed the throttle body, and the o2 sensors, same problem idk what to do now
I appreciate you taking the time to post this video. Just helped me with replacing mine.
Thanks man exactly what I needed
Awesome instructions
Nice job man perfect video thank
❤❤❤
What's the secret to remove the low pressure line? How did you get it over the lip?
If oil leaks it’s also the pump?

Great Video!!! Does anyone know the torque specs for the 2 bolts that are at the 4:29-4:34 of video?
Dikke bak 👌
Thanks Kees! Wat voor jou?

What brand did you buy? I’m looking online and they sell a standard motor production $100, Delphi $300, and carter $400
I bought a OE Ford one just to be sure!
The blue slip broke 😬 I can't see how to easily replace it, any advice?

How do you lower the cam if it’s to high ?

I have a 2013 with 221,000 miles on it with no major issues. Just standard parts here and there. Change that oil regularly at least 3-5k miles.
Smart Move getting the warranty.
I have same symptoms, code p00c6 is it posibble to be this high pressure pump?
Or it could be the fuel pump module located under truck right above the spare tire

@@AbsoluteRebuilds what should the fuel pressure read from the fuel pump in the gas tank?
what size socket did you use?

Buy the new bolts. They are actually a little longer
They come with the kit if I recall correctly
Since your working on the fuel system might as well light a match and get worm

I just bought a 2014 F150 and it`s only getting about 12 MPG fuel economy, could that be the problem? It has 85,000 miles on it.
