What COLOR Plastic to Use in Stained and Clear Water. How to pick or choose the right color

  • How do you know which color plastic to use for fishing for bass, crappie, bluegill or panfish? This little water clarity experiment we are using muddy, stained, dingy, dirty, and clear water colors. There are several different color plastics to try in these water clarities to see which can be seen better. This underwater tests which lure color stands out in stained water. I hope this helps show some insight into using the sight of a bass to help you get more bites and how to catch more bass. This helped me see a little more of what I already knew. Let me know if this helped you learn something or if this helped you to catch more fish.

I am fishing in an urban creek that flows into a salt water estuary in SoCal. The water can go from clear in the spring to dark. Right now, in August, the water has gone to almost black from the tannins being released, silt, and algae die off. White spinner baits, white grubs, purple Roboworms and Zoom trick worms in methiolate are working during daylight hours.
