I have had this unit in my vehicle for about a year and ahalf. Like you reported it is a great unit. You talked about how you didn't like the way it records videos, it does in 1,2, and 3 minutes increment as you know, if you look at the end of one video and the begining of next you will find no gaps in the footage. The start of the next video records portion of the last video. If you are getting a lot of events i would reduce the sensitivity or other wiise every time you hit a pot hole these one minutes events will pop up. The message you got "please reformat the SD card" is not because the card is full. It's an error message and like you I either reformat the card or turn the unit off and then back on usually corrects the problem for me. Then the card is full it delele the oldest video to make room for your newest video.
Hey thanks for posting this video. I've been considering using a go-pro until I saw your previous dashcam vid. I had been using an old smartphone but I found it overheated too much on extended road trips. I think I'll pick a newer version of this cam up and try it out!
It should be admissible in court, although you may need to make arrangements in advance to show the video. You would have the burden of getting it introduced into evidence, and then showing that it is reliable evidence. So consistent practices with what you record, and some verification of speed tracking that you could present as evidence of reliablity/accuracy if challenged. --- I am thinking, drive past one of those mile marker speedometer verification things with the camera on should do the trick. -- Not legal advice, just musings.
They have a device that will use your car battery for a period of time or until the battery hits a certain voltage before it shuts off. I haven't had the chance to install it yet. But no, the camera itself doesn't have a battery to keep recording when the car is off.
Alrasheedii I'm sorry you're so misinformed. If you check my channel, I have a GoPro review. They were not created as dash cams and do not work well as one. This is a dedicated dash cam that comes on when you start the car. You never need to worry about taking it with you as it's always in your car. Try doing some research before just throwing out nonsensical statements.

Great review. I just wish it was more affordable because I really like the quality and the ability to record front and back video.

Nice review... glad I came across it... takes a great video... front and back! Thanks!
You're right, this one is a lot better than the GoPro.
Kyle Gierman Absolutely!
Do you have any night video that you can post?
Thanks for the video. Can disable the info it shows on the bottom?
Let me know if you have any questions! I'll do my best to answer them here.
is that something you put on the windshield so the 3m won't be stuck directly to the glass?
too bad you did not demonstrate the wifi capability, would like to have seen how transferring the video to your phone works.

Has anyone used this in a hot climate. I live in Miami. The last dash cam I had overheated and stopped working.
Have you removed the adhesive tape yet?
Does this have a battery to work after the car is turned off or you dismount it? How accurate is the MPH?

did the gopro heat up?
Priced now at $349! Are you kidding me? I would rather get GoPro+ instead of this scam paid advertised!
