@Angy Olivier I agree! I have 4a hair and got a Devacut a few years ago bc I wanted a pixie cut. However, the woman who cut my hair (white with VERRY subtle waves btw) had no idea how to handle my hair. She completely forgot that shrinkage was a thing, so she gave me a haircut that was a pixie cut when wet, and a semi hightop when dry. I now have a great hairstylist with hair like mine at the Ulta Salon for half the price, but that experience scarred me

Finally a natural hair video that’s open and honest about what we need. Women with tightly curled hair can do wash and gos and it looks incredible on our texture! Companies and the CZcams natural hair girlies have lied and misled us for ages!
Basic amazing hair care routine for us: shampoo, conditioner, styler. Get trims regularly. That’s it. DASSIT!
NO oils. No leave-ins. No butters. No grease. No DIY nonsense. No food in your hair! All those things have been holding us back from the crown of our dreams. It’s not necessary and oil isn’t sealing a damn thing outside of dirt and bacteria. If your hair is dry just WASH IT AGAIN!

As a lazy curly girl with type 4 hair, I only do wash and go's in warm weather (I live in a state that gets ALL the seasons weather wise) because I don't use heat. That being said, I cheat the wash and go look in the cooler by doing two chunky flat twists going straight back when my hair is wet (the only product i use is a leave in and maybe an oil to seal if I'm feeling extra). After a day or so of wandering around the house in chunky twist (I've been working from home 100% since the world went crazy) then I take it down, do a light mist of water on each section, rake through my hair with a little leave in and BAM I have the same curl definition I have straight out of the shower, less shrinkage, and soft curls because I don't use gel.

Hello anyone new should book one on one curl session. This is where they teach you the process to do the process at home in between visits. After that just book the hydra set. I've gone to Rhonda, Kurian and Judith. They're all great.

I've been doing a hydration journey for maybe 2 years. After focusing on length my entire journey rather than health. And when I started focusing on health my hair started flourishing. Ppl never belive me when I say its 4c but it is it's just well trained 4c. My hair when fully hydrated looks like the springs in a pen. 4C GIRLS CAN DO A WASH AND GO!! WE CAN. Our hair just takes more training. Its almost as if my hair gets in formation when hydrated each coil knows exactly what to do.

I’m type 4, and I only wash n go. All those creams and butters block water from getting into the hair. That’s why your hair was dripping prior to your salon experience; the water literally could not get into your hair.
