Please do "Stoopid" "Get Some" or "My Balls" by Snot. I'm going to be listening to this band all day now. Love it.
*THIS!*
This guy knows his snot
Definitely do "My Balls" lol. Really any of their songs were lit AF though.
Yeahh previous album
I still listen to Snot sometimes. Lynn 4ever!
This record is a tribute to Lynn, the singer of Snot. Friends contributed songs and I think there was some new Snot material with other vocalists or stuff Lynn laid down before the accident. RIP Lynn and Dobbs🤘🤘🤘
Absent was the new Snot song.
The song first appeared on the Strangeland soundtrack, but was sooo good they added it to Strait Up. It would have likely been on the 2nd album.
yeah ABSENT was the only one new SNOT song that had the lyrics done and recorded by Lynn. The Other songs were all supposed to be finished still, the music was all done and recorded and then Lynn Strait died. so all his friends came in, wrote lyrics for the allready finished songs about what they felt and recorded this tribute album.... still got it i thik.
I saw SOULFLY on tour some time after this and the SNOT Guitarist had joined SOULFLY, when i handed him the booklet of this record to sign, he started crying and we hugged.
I'm always happy when Snot gets attention this actually made me impulse buy a Snot band shirt which took about 45 minutes to even find
👍
This is my youth man.
RIP Lynn
This album is in memory of the singer.
Their song “Snot” is my fav.
And “The Box” too. ✨
These guys would love The Box, super funky and dope.
Those 2 songs are my favorite by them. They would love both of them.
Say something for the record tell the people what you feel........ fuck the record and fuck the people!
The album "Get Some" by Snot is pretty much the high point of that era. They had the nu metal influence but they were better than almost every other band. Flawless album in my opinion.
I live in the southern hemisphere, and had to pay 50 us dollars to get this record where I live... literally spent food money for it, 50 us dollar is a lot of money in my country, but I have less than zero regrets about it probably the best excessive money I have spent other than buying fear inoculum which also cost me 100 bucks. Although I am in a better financial place than when I got Got some, I still hold his record really dear to my heart. One of the biggest "what If" of that era
Get some was insane, it was alternative, it was grungy, it was punk it was funk it was metal he was rapping and screaming and talking and growling, and thats just the first song.
They didn't have nu metal "influence", they were nu metal
Also they were one of the best but not the best
Saw these guys at Ozzfest '98, first band of the day at 11am. Helluva way to kick off any show.
SNOT!!!! Yeeessss!!!! Get Some is still one of my fave albums ever! You all should do Snooze Button. My most favorite Snot song!!! It is totally timeless and very relevant today just as it was then.
They didn’t get as big because the lead singer died otherwise I think they would have been huge. 😢
I've been listening to this band since the beginning and at times I go months without listening to it again and it just instantly clicks in my head why I fell in love with them in the first place
Gotta get some HED(PE) reactions fellas.
Been asking for this for a long time. They did Renegade and then haven't covered them since. I begged for Sevendust forever, and finally they did Angel's Son, which is a very good song but doesnt really capture the Sevendust sound.
They definitely need to do more Hed pe👊
yes!
The reason why they didn't get as big is because the lead singer died in a car accident on the way to record their second album. This album is a tribute to James Lynn Stait and shows how much he influenced and was loved by everyone who's on it.
I actually had bought their CD after hearing them on the radio in Kansas City, they had a late-night program of music that was not allowed to be played from 5 am to 10 pm. The DJ played Stoopid first, that night. It blew up and they ended up having to put it on regular rotation because we kept blowing up the station to get them played... We were so very disappointed to find out he had died soon after that, we expected them to be super huge... I even have the CD laying around somewhere.
@@huha123 haha I believe it was the same for me. That segment is called "The Pit" now. Not sure what it was back then. I have their cd in my car along with the tribute album and still play them regularly.
Why have I never heard of this band? I'm kinda digging it!
When I was younger nu metal was nearly all I listened to. I rarely go back to any of it at this point but the Snot album still holds up, front to back. Really wish we would have gotten more music from them as I genuinely think they were better than a lot of those bigger names. RIP Lynn
the sevendust song you guys did was a tribute to the vocalist lynn straight it was on this album in an acoustic form.
They were handing out free CD's with like 3 or 4 of these tribute songs at Ozzfest 01. I think i still have it somewhere.
This whole CD is fire!!! They did it because Lynn the lead singer passed away so the whole CD is dedicated to him because all these guys were friends
SNOT were amazing.
RIP Lynn.
You guys should also watch StrangeLand the movie which features this track. The film was written/produced by Dee Snider of Twisted Sister.
SNOT!!!! You always knew this!
The entire album "Get Some" is awesome, check out Stoopid, Joyride, The Box, 313...
Glad you two checked this band out! This song is an all time favorite of mine. The cover art you see is a tribute album dedicated to Lynn Strait who died in a car accident, along with his dog Dobbs. The album features vocalists such as:
• Serj Tankian of *System Of A Down* ~ _Starlit Eyes_
• Jonathan Davis of *KoЯn* ~ _Take It Back_
• M.C.U.D. of *(həd) p.e.* ~ _I Know Where You’re At_
• Max Cavalera of *Soulfly* ~ _Catch A Spirit_
• Jason Sears of *R.K.L.* ~ _Until Next Time_
• Brandon Boyd of *Incubus* ~ _Divided (An Argument for the Soul)_
• Spoken word by Ozzy Osbourne
• Lajon Witherspoon of *Sevendust* ~ _Angel’s Son_
• Fred Durst of *Limp Bizkit* ~ _Forever_
• Dez Fafara of *Coal Chamber* ~ _Funeral Flights_
• Corey Taylor of *Slipknot* ~ _Requiem_
• Mark McGrath of *Sugar Ray* ~ _Reaching Out_
• Snot performing _Absent_
• Spoken word by Lynn Strait entitled _”Sad Air”_
• A hidden track mixed by DJ Lethal called _Strait Up_
The version on the Strangeland soundtrack is clean up and perfect
Thank you sooooo much for doing this one guys! Just like everyone else said when you did the album version of Sevendust - "Angel's Son", if you do the bonfire version with all kinds of huge names in 90's music paying respect there, you'll really appreciate how loved and honored Lynn Strait was. Thanks again broskis!
One of the greatest bands of that era.. I had a license plate on my car that said snot forever
All the sudden its 1997 again and Im in highschool....
So awesome to see these guys get recognition so many years later. I know this reaction was three years ago but it’s amazing to see. My dad was actually in their album on the song “Snot”. This band has done so much for my family since. Miss Lynn everyday.
The song "Snot" is a great showcase of their style BTW
Lynn died before Nu-Metal took hold. They were the best of them. Most of those bands were great friends with Snot, and from interviews, they really looked up to them when it came to the stage.
Snot! Partied with them backstage at their Liberty Lunch show in Austin back in the day. Love it!! Good shit. Keep it up
The singer Lynn was killed in a car crash. The song Angel Son, was written for Lynn. You reacted to that song. Snot is amazing. Please react to unplugged. It’s about how the record companies use bands to make money at the expense of the bands misery. Trust me....you will love it. Read the lyrics when you review please. Please please please.
There's a video about this album where all the artist talk about Lynn and the influence Lynn had on all those bands
Gotta do “Stoopid”
Y’all need to do the song “Snot”. It truly highlights every member of the band individually while maintaining their full on nu metal grooves. 🤘
They were bout to be the biggest thing Lynn Strait & Snot in 98, Major, MAJOR LOSS IN rock/metal I caught them in the STRANGLAND movie soundtrack but by that time Mr Lynn Strait had passed. Was a tragic "coincidence" but he talked about life and stop listening to the masses. Greatly missed and all the names dropped used him to get clout he was the BEST , FOREVER Snot but LYNN STRAIT IS/WAS REAL personally I was a teen and 42 years this year and never give up on the BEST FRONTMAN that was cut short. He needs more respect and thank you all for doing this MUCH LOVE , all the other bands wish they could be SNOT & especially be LYNN STRAIT. Watch the STRAIT UP Tribute CD/DVD with the footage and rep his footage on CZcams & all web vids to witness what we all missed out on.
i'm simple man, see Snot , press like !
I confidently recommend their other songs of you dug this track. Snot ended super fast because their singer died.
Thank you for finally getting to snot. Next song to do by them is stoopid
This is an awesome bad ass song… i relate alot to it….. love it!!!!!! Lynn was awesome
Lynn was a amazing singer! RIP! Gone way to soon!
Daaaaaamn Snot??!
U guys are up there
This Slams I hear a bit of other bands in the mix it's kickass! Great reaction guys! Love it! Going in my playlist now! Hey hey Smokey said it well Mashup.
Snot had some great tracks on their single studio album. The Box and My Balls Your Chin are 2 of my favorites.
@@jasonfreeland6621 Sounds Great I will check more of their music out. Can't believe this slipped past my radar all this time.
Fuckin one of the best bands i have ever seen! Love you guys for just doing this! Bless you and your families!
I'm happy that you guys reacted to Snot. I think if Lynn Strait hadn't died, they would have been huge. This whole album showed how much they were love and respected. Good one guys. Keep up the good work.
If you two want a change of pace, I suggest you listen to a band named Graveyard. They're out of Sweden. Amazing rock band. Got a 70s rock/bluesy sound. Listen to a song by them called Cooking Brew. I think you'll like it.
Love Hisingen blues
@@PaulHanney Great album. Their first album was a bit different, but just as great in my opinion. A band that doesn't get enough recognition.
@@favorite1470 Love them.
I didn't know anyone else knew who graveyard was. To me they feel like the doors reincarnated. I wasn't a huge doors fan but I like graveyard. Good suggestion.
@@brettmason1666 Yeah, they're still a bit underground here I guess. If you like them, I'm sure you would like Witchcraft, if you haven't already heard of them. Their first two album are amazing.
That whole strait up record is amazing. You could spend a week or 2 on that
Watch the band feed her to the sharks- the song chasing glory! This guys voice is a trip.:)
If you're going to watch the documentary about Snot.. there's this one time Brandon Boyd of incubus said that during those days when they played next to Snot in an event.. that after Snot , they (Incubus were asking themselves.."what are we going to play?"....Man ! thats how craaaazy Snot is..
What's really crazy, but makes sense, is that snot inspired those bands music, some where before but they completely changed after playing with snot.
TRash Talkers, you need to check anything from the Get some record." Snooze button" is as relevant a song as you may get, it gives any song from Rage against the machine a run for its money and comes on top, I think. Keep up the good vibes. Love from the southern hemisphere!!!
I immediately thought he was gonna say Capt Howdy! 😂
First time I ever heard this song was back in 1998 (maybe?) It was in the movie Strangeland by Dee Snider. I think they even had a cameo (but I'm probly wrong about that)... Man that whole soundtrack was AMAZING....
I keep trying to tell people about that soundtrack... It's absolutely the best soundtrack. That song Street Justice is fire. But I've always thought this Snot song was the best on it.
@@mikeabney2527 yup! ...dayinthelife killed that cover, probly my favorite song on the album. Best/worst part about that song is hearing the drum mic cut out halfway thru the solo... Makes me appreciate even the pros make mistakes, but God damnit, I can't unhear it and it irks the shit outta me...😆
@@seanikins2972 I just checked out what you said and damn it you're absolutely right... Thanks 😆
I remember hearing this song on the strangeland soundtrack and i though damn they are gonna be big, so sad how everything turned out…rip lynn
The whole album is so sick!!!
Wooow never thought I’d see this album on this channel. Snot is my all time favorite band next to Mudvayne.
Nice I requested anything from snot...
You guys should do Sad Air by this band. It's just the singer talking, but it's what he's talking about that makes you think
Request: Trains by Porcupine Tree.
Or ”Arriving somewhere but not here” by the same band if you want to be sent on a journey similar to what Tool songs do.
Love you guys, peace.
Santa Barbara, California Snot was from Dobbs, their official mascot pup! Both died in a car wreck =(
I always tell anybody that hasn't heard SNOT, that they are the GREATEST band they never heard of. This is coming from a PANTERA fan, they would have been the next PANTERA.
Definitely. The next Pantera and the next Sublime at the same time.
Drummer of snot went to soulfly, the tribute album had system of a down, sevendust and many more that were friends with Lynn
I toured with Snot!! These guys were awesome!! Its sad lyn was killed by a drunk driver. One member of snot went to Sevendust!!!
JUST GO LISTEN TO THEIR ALBUM "GET SOME" ITLL BLOW YOUR MIND
#StraitUp #RIPLynnStrait
You should react to the entire album..please..one of a kind..
It's my Birthday fam. 🎂
Happy🎂Birthday!
Happy Birthday James!!! 🎈🎂🎈🎂🎈
Happy Birthday Broski🥳🎉🎉🍺🍺
Happy birthday
Thank you everybody 💜
Bro, I'm so happy you did snot. Any song on their record is great. Try anything off of hed pe's 1st and 2nd record too. Especially their first record. Try the strangeland movie album. It's the shit.
I still have that album R.I.P. Lynn
RIP Lynn Strait
My second fav band after RATM during HS.
Reminds me of Hed(pe) if they used an IPhone to record instead of a studio. 😂
One of my fav songs of all time! Snot rules!! Though I will say there is another recorded version l like better. I think it’s from the Strangeland soundtrack.
Snot!!!!!!!!! GET SOME!!!
How the fuck did I miss this reaction? I'm late lol I love this song and band. The strangeland soundtrack is where I first heard this song. There's a band called Day In The Life the song called Street Justice on that soundtrack and it is fucking badass. Hope y'all check it out.
Hellyeah 🤘🤘🤘
Please check out "Diggy Diggy Hole" by the band Wind Rose. You guys will love it
The Best album of the 2000s
Finally snot reaction 😀
Starlit Eyes!
Snapcase, 'Caboose' 'Killing Yourself to Live' 'Zombie Prescription'
Drummer is Shanon Larkin now in Godsmack since 2002
The drummer was Jamie Miller,Larken came later.
This is the best nu metal song ever.
Lake of Tears - A Crimson Cosmos
I'd say Snot is hands down the best Nu Metal band ever to exist to this point. In my opinion, the one and only album they released beats all the other Nu Metal albums combined.
I would say Slipknot is, but I personally don't consider them Nu Metal, even if they're considered to be cemented in the genre.
I get the whole Ross Robinson, Indigo Ranch, DJ and spitting fire bars here and there, late 90s thing. But I think even the first album transended them into the New Wave of American Heavy Metal camp with LoG, Chimaira, Shadows Fall, Devil Driver and all the other wicked bands from that era.
Change my mind, lol.
They toured on Ozzfest and Lynn got in trouble for streaking and jumping into the giant toilet Limp used in there set.
R.I.P Lynn Strait and Dobbs! The dog from the snot video. Both died in a car crash
Fuck yea, good song
Fuck yeeesssss!!!!!
And then Snap-Slipknot, Scissors-Slipknot, either one
you guys gotta do their real album
If you liked this one, Try Reveille - Butterfly...or any :)
Loved that band. Judas was the shit.
You guys should look up Deadfall-Snot, you won’t be disappointed
RUSH THURSDAYS!!!
Nightwish The Poet And The Pendulum live with Floor. Hollywood will need a candle.
Great band, great song. Snot would have blown up but Lynn died. A movie is being made about him.
18 and life- skid row
Snot by Snot.
Rip lynn strait love snot check out the 1st song from their album official video take care you guys
RIP Lynn
Just Lie and My Balls need a reaction please😃😃
RIP Lynn and Dobbs
the best nu metal band ever
I was gonna say best rap metal songs snot, serpent boy from hed (PE) and absent but I'm sure you've covered your bases and crossed the tees
I think you guys will really like Snooze Button
If you haven't reacted to it, react to Skindred Nobody and/or Full Devil Jacket the song Screaming Jesus, Wannabe a Martyr
Not gonna lie, I really want to see yall react to Freebird. Just because. lol
Snot: Stoopid
