Thx Mike for the video and helping us out here. Question: what can go wrong if i use a 12v starter motor on a 6v bellhousing to benchstart a 12v engine? (‘71 Ghia)? Or is it better that i change that bushing to a 12v even for benchtesting?
Hey Mike what year was that bus with the red rims and primer. Anyway my 68 bus is having a hang-up issue . Ive replaced the starter ,the bushing and dont know why im still having to knock the starter housing occasionally.
61 westfailia in primer. either you have a bad connection on the starter or the starter and or solinoid is defective. Check your ground cable from the transmission to the othe side of the trans mount in the front of the trans also.
