What About Fives?

Clone trooper Fives was mentioned once by Captain Rex in The Bad Batch series. It would have been cool to see Echo react or talk about Fives at all. I hope we do end up seeing Echo in a future clone series!

Fives was a good soldier during the clone wars. He even warned Rex about the inhibitor chips before the end of the clone wars. Good soldiers follow orders

Fives was Echo’s best friend, him dying without knowing his buddy was still alive was SO sad see, and if there was one clone I would bring back, it would be Fives so he could see his old friend again.

Yeah I do wish Echo talks about Fives heck he could talk to Omega about him and his experience as a Domino Squad.

What a question! They are both amazing characters, but I am going to go with Fives. He was very independent and smart as a clone, which is why he became an ARC trooper. He also figured out the plot against the Jedi, which led to his death but also propelled him to extreme popularity. He was a good soldier.

Rex was standing right beside Fives when one of his owned gunned him down. I’m sure it’s a sore point, but he knew Fives was the key to removing the chip, so Fives is quite the clone hero. Echo went through literal hell, so a passing squad mate is no shock or surprise in a brutal galactic war

One thing that bugged me most about bad batch we never saw a true heart to heart moment with Rex talking about fives to echo we never got that which sucks because that was a real missed opportunity

Echo is very different than who he was in the earlier seasons of TCW, to put it simply he's been toughened up: spending years stuck in a fridge as a Separatist experiment and being half a cyborg can transform people. But Fives is still important to this show since without him, none of this would have happened. He saved Rex, who saved the Batch from their chips and saved Ahsoka.

I loved both characters but Fives has a sadder story because he could have stopped Order 66 but Commander Fox had to shoot him when he COULD have stunned him.
