-don’t finance figures in bunch by using different creditors (you’ll be in debt) -avoid direct sunlight on figure -don’t impulse buy on lewd figures yes figures are appealing but it’s best to appreciate its existence than buy a figure you’ll regret buying (reselling online will make you lose profit and will take very long depending on figure popularity) -be honest and buy what you can afford. Remember, only you are responsible for putting value in a figure :)
direct sunlight can actually resurrect old and dirty figures. Sunlight bleaches most things over time yes, but it is not bad to have on especially in glass in direct sunlight.
Great tips! A tip I would give is to not be afraid to ask questions. This will help you understand the hobby a bit better and avoid potential conflicts
Great video. It reminded me to dust my figures tomorrow. Lol. One thing I would add to the preowned topic is be careful about getting stuck in a cycle of buying preowned figures because of the great price. Honestly, I am still struggling with this one. AmiAmi’s preowned section gets me in trouble. Lol. Just be careful. You could really like the figure and it’s a great price from a reputable site, but ask yourself at least once or maybe twice, “but do I NEED it?” If you are too good at rationalizing the decision to yourself (lol), maybe just add the item to a wishlist and think on it. Sometimes, the feeling will pass and you will realize that you didn’t actually want that figure as much as you initially thought. I hope this helps someone.
New to buying anime figures and I recently dropped $1000+ on 5 figures alone. I know nothing about them, just thought they looked super cool. Wish I saw this video before hand....
Solid tips! A good amount of my figures are preowned also! I have a tip get an air purifier helps with keeping the figures clean. Another tip I have is have to plan the characters you want to collect.
6:37 Nice opinion but if I'm not paying shipping and I can see the figure in person especially at a very very very low price that it looks like a steal at that price im buying it as long as it look half way decent no matter what
