- Cher is making new music and getting candid with “Extra.” The music legend shared her thoughts on Britney Spears, who is making headlines with her memoir “The Woman in Me.” Cher recalled being “bothered” by Britney’s conservatorship when they were both performing in Las Vegas. She also opened up about finding love again with music exec Alexander “A.E.” Edwards and making music together with her new “Christmas” alum, out now.

What I love most about Cher is how she's so unapologetically herself. She doesn't look or sound like anybody and she never really fit into the worlds of music and film. But she carved her own path on her own terms and that's very inspiring. Just be yourself don't let anybody tell you that you can't because you can.

Everybody knew that fact. The reasons were obvious even then. I never heard anyone say that she didn't needed any help. Take advantage of her? Is that how you phrased it? They stripped her of her autonomy, locked her up, isolated her, medicated her knowingly and unknowingly, gaslighted her, threatened her, trafficked her, constantly humiliated her publicly and stole $600M USD plus from her just to name a few of the advantages they took from her. That doesn't even begin to make a dent. That's how you define taking advantage of her?
Absolutely. And We have to be patient, it will take years for Brit to heal from all the horrible circumstances her family and helpers put her through.
