How to Setup Drip Irrigation with In-Ground Sprinklers

- Drip Irrigation is the most efficient way to water plants. You can setup drip irrigation with in-ground sprinklers with proper fittings such as 1/4 in adapter for quarter in drip line and 1/2 in adapter for 1/2 in drip line. You can also run 1/2 in drip line to areas of you garden where you do not have sprinklers and then use 1/4 in drip line where you need water. Hope this video helps to setup drip irrigation in your garden.

Nice! Very helpful! Pro tip: heat up the ends of the 1/2" larger line to make it easier to slip onto the connectors. Heat gun, or even easier, get a bucket/pot of boiling water and stick the end in for a minute (but be careful not to burn yourself)!

I'm forced to do this pretty soon since drought is part of living here in Texas and getting worse.
If I install quarter inch tubing to my existing sprinkler head, how many feet of quarter inch tubing am I allowed to run two receive enough water emitting out of the tube?
Hint: If you heat up the drip line with a lighter, you can insert it much easier. it makes the twice as fast.
If I cannot convert existing sprinkler heads within the same zone to drip tubing, then how do I get the water to the other areas within the same zone?

That is correct. You have to use a pressure regulator. Is there a way it can get underground easily
a separate emitter tubing is available for underground installation (only 1/2 inch versions). The 1/4th inch versions usually don't have that option.
