I had to play trials vs Gary. He is one of the best players. It was very tight ended up being a 4w5l but i hardly ever had such a hard match up and such a great representation of a skilled player

honestly, i liked the small reticle. it made me more accurate with my shots, but using it since the change, i think its still fine

Plus a lot of maps just use a lot of Colors in their design.
So unless you keep changing your Reticle Color every time you swap Maps, the Reticle will just mix up with the background...

Ngl I didn’t like the size of the reticle, but over time I feel like it became part of this weapon’s personality/identity
I got a snapshot mulligan with ricochet. It’s only insane when you accidentally miss, get the ricochet body shot and your bullet because mulligan thought it was a miss
I love this change a lot, it made me miss so many shots since the tiny dot blended in with too many bright lights this game has, it’s such a perfect sniper for pvp the stats are insane!

They should have kept it small for the people that like the small reticle. Now it’s the same as any other sniper.
The way they worded the patch notes for the reticle change made it look like they intended it to be small,
I agree it would be a nice change, but d2 reticles moving according to flinch makes it unusable.
I would like to see how it would feel if they wanted to test the small reticle but making it so it doesn't moving sniper reticles when there is flinch.

i love this sniper so much for the fact that you can hit 50AE with extended and 40 without it if you have elemental on it, still trying for a snapshot roll but hey at least i got one with surplus elemental for that copium roll till i get snapshot
I sent a very zoomed in pic of the old reticle from my phone to my friends and it was lost to image compression. The dot was just outright gone, what was left was a small red blur blending with the background.

I loved the reticle, it made the sniper feel way better for me. For once i actually enjoyed using an adaptive sniper and bungie couldn't let us have it. But welp i hope the others enjoy it
Sorry man, I kinda enjoyed it too but I did sometimes notice it completely blending into the background. It would’ve been a better change to make it brighter rather than bigger
I was luckily able to get one of these with Snapshot+Mulligan and i've gotten mulligan to proc a lot it's like Revoker but at power level and pre nerf. It feels so nice i'm happy bungie changed the sight finally so i can use it more.
Is opening shot that much better than elemental capacitor, to the point where it is worth grinding for another one?
I like this sniper A LOT, especially because it’s Arc so I can easily swap between this and Matador without having to switch mods around… but i’m not sure if it’s because I’m super used to Beloved but I actually prefer Beloved, my headshots feel stickier even though I have an Opening Shot Mercurial. I think the fact that Beloved is craftable and I don’t have to worry about RNG ruining my day is another plus
It’s just the zoom, honestly these low zoom snipes aren’t that good considering we have so many long range maps now

I personally didn’t like the reticle (I also don’t like the reticle on Thoughtless), but I don’t think it should’ve be changed honestly.
I think that small reticle was what made it unique, now it’s just another sniper with a standard selection of (admittedly great) perks. It doesn’t do anything that you can’t already do with a different sniper.
There’s people that were using it specifically because it had that smaller reticle and it sucks that it needed to be changed, I guess if they’re going to do something unique like that it needs to be from a different source to comp though, because a niche pick isn’t going to get enough people interested in comp and I think that’s probably more the reason it was changed than anything.

When the reticle was tiny it was a menace close range.

It's so great that they fixed the reticle because it's such a stacked sniper. Getting to like 80 handling while also getting a shitload of range is huge.

In my opinion i would rather use Mechabre because its a 72 RPM Sniper, It also rolls with snapshot/ opening shot and it has its origin trait Search Party..... I don't know if its just me that feels this but with Search Party it makes a 72 RPM sniper feel like a 90 RPM sniper if you have snapshot/opening shot paired with search party plus you get the added bonus of a 1 shot head shot on supers.

I’m on controller(PC coming soon), I got a slickdraw, moving target roll as my best roll so far and it feels phenomenal. I thought slickdraw would mess everything up, but I have 30ish kills on it so far and it’s been performing pretty well. Slickdraw imo feels better than snapshot.

I don't remember exactly when Bungie stated it but I do remember that they stated Freehand Grip does not work on snipers. Some please correct me if they have since corrected this. I only remember this because I had a Bite of the Fox with opening shot and hipfire grip. Added the freehand and wanted a long range shitty. Then they stated what I said above and I was greatly disappointed.😢

I think the reticle was fine, only thing I noticed was it would brighten the reticle when you ADS which made it hard to see the tiny reticle

bind your jump button to scroll up or down, and then scroll while mashing your regular jump button. Keep both bound! its really simple to start and fun to master :D

Bungie should just let us choose our own reticle, and/or be able to get new and interesting reticles via random loot drops. Reticle size, shape, etc. isn't just an issue of player choice and preference, but accessibility.

I am curious as to why this would be the best sniper in the game.
Admittedly I am asking because I have a now unattainable Eye of Sol Adept with Fluted, Alloy Mag, Moving Target, Celerity and a handing masterwork and an adept targetting mod so the stats and aim assist are cracked.
78 aim assist even before celerity kicks in and 91 handling.
Sure, it doesn’t have snapshot, but it feels like how old snap shot used to be.

One thing I've never understood I've watched so many players over the years wallah is the only player I know to move at such speeds and hit almost everything I could be hard aiming down sights at a guy that doesn't move and bullets still don't hit 😂
